When did we look good yesterday... Come on MM... BOOM.

Surely he sees it, last season was the same.

We looked good when we got the ball down and played it on the deck, Caulker bringing it forward etc. We have to be patient in this league and therefore Ben "boom" Turner is one player who is not up to scratch, Hudson would've been better.

You could see the look on Medel's face as the ball sailed over his head, like wtf are you lot doing. John and Connolly were the same... Boom!!! If we boom the ball away we'll not see it again for ten minutes against some teams. We'll get caught out some times but that is he way we've got to play.

As for Bellamy... He was awful, can he please leave ALL dead balls to Whitts or Medel, every ball didn't clear the first man.

Oh! And my other issue with MM why play Bellamy on the right... You lose his strength that should be his pace as he has to cut back...

Any way we didn't get battered and there were some positives. :thumbright:

I thought John did ok, but when pressured he lumped it down the line, understandable in his first real senior start and in the premier. We have to work harder to give him and others an option. Taylor will be back next week, less hoof ball but also less pace :-(

I agree. We passed it around nicely and looked very confident for a part of the second half.

It's only the first game, and although it wasn't a great performance I think we'll be ok.

New players and positions will always take a bit of time to gel, but unfortunately Man City isn't the game I'd have wanted to play next!
