Craig Noone

Sat Aug 17, 2013 5:31 pm

I understand the team and formation MM put out today away from home but I was surprised that Craig Noone was not even on the bench and no sign of Brayford.

You need pace and with to give you something different particularly if you fall behind. Noone could have come off the bench to give you that. Thoughts?

Hopefully we will have Montero in soon and re enforcements at full back and possibly a striker.

Exactly my thoughts, Noone has a hell of a lot of pace, trickery and creativity. Great delivery on him as well. I was also wondering why Brayford din't even feature on the bench as he's a good defensive outlet but also brilliant on the attack. Compared to Connolly who is one dimensional

I am completely baffled with today's squad selection :old:

It had the potential to work, though we missed Cornelius, the defensive midfield of Gunnar and Medel, creativity of Whitts and Kim could have worked but we had Bellars and Campbell up front, Cornelius could have complimented Campbell in the big man/little man role. I thought our bench was incredibly weak to choose from though. Hopefully it will be covered next week. We need Noone, Hudson and Brayford! :ayatollah:

Agree I remember our the last home game of last season against Bolton, 1 down and we didnt look like scoring, Noone came on and changed the game, thier left back shit himself, think nooney scored the equalising free kick also.

We lacked a winger to take on a player, crying out for noone against Man City if we don't get a winger in beforehand

i agree wft with connelly i would pick kev over him to be honest and why no brayford? mind you i wasnt as impressed as i hoped to be at cheltneham and im sure i saw him give brentford a goal on a clip i saw.
id pick hudson over turner just about, but then hes slowish even when he hasnt been up all night with a newborn baby...
im not sure cornelious is what we all think hes gonna be, i really thing hes one for the future. there is so much difference from the danish league and when i saw him at cheltenham i was really shocked by how young and raw he seems. but on the plus side he is a unit, and looks dangerous. i just think he is one for the future, a super sub for this season and yes a future star but not quite yet? but if campbell gets the service he can pull it off i think. it was a critisism that we had no main goal scorer last season, but theres a plus to that in that a lot of our squad know where the net is. its just wingers thats worrying me at the moment and that we havnt totally got the lb thing sorted

Taylor and Brayford will be in next week. John and Brayford is too much inexperience. Don't know how Noone would have made it worse.

Exactly, Bellamy vs Bolton was the worst ever game I saw from him, not slagging him off but it's time to give Noone a run in the side

If Brayford and Cornelius weren't 100% I think Malky went with the right team.

I don't think we will see much of Noone this year, especially away from home. I also think he ran down enough dead ends last year to suggest the Premier League may be a step too far for him.

Hope he gets a few chances though and hope he shoves my words back down my throat.

Noone is a game changer, no reason why he shouldnt of played.
