Were neither Brayford and Cornelius on the bench? If they are both injured fair enough but if they aren't then that is a very bad decision by Malkay. Brayford could and should of come on and take Connolly's place or should have started, you can't have Connolly marking Matt Jarvis. Also, Cornelius could of come on and offered something different, if we continue to play with one up front and with Campbell or Maynard playing up on there own, then we are just not going to score enough goals. The only player that should be up top on his own should be Cornelius, if he doesn't play then we must change formation and us two up front. Also, why was Cowie on the bench again? The guy is a brilliant professional but he isnt good enough. Noone should of been on the bench as well because his pace would have scared the life out of Demel, Collins, Reid and McCartney if he was to come on. Hudson should be playing alongside Caulker not Turner and Whittingham in my opinion should not be a starter for us if we playing him in the middle. If he was to play on the wing he would be scoring more and assisting more.

I honestly think that if we want to stay in this league then we need at least another five players, if Malky thinks we only need two more then i cannot see us being in this division next season. We desperately need a goalscorer but only if he comes from a team that are currently in their countries top football division, ie. La Liga, Serie A, Eredevisie, Bundesliga, etc. Cornelius, Maynard, Campbell and Gestede are not enough options that we need. We may have Mason and one or two others that can play up front but i don't feel that Mason is an out and out striker. To do well in the Premiership, you have to have at least four quality Premier League standard players. Campbell is the only one of them that is in that category but he doesn't score enough. Maynard us not proven at this level and neither is Gestede - who i feel is not even good enough in the Championship. Cornelius, who i feel will be a brilliant striker and a brilliant Premier League striker for us, is still very young and it would likely be to much pressure on him if he was to be our main goalscorer. In the next few years i really do think that Cornelius is going to be a top, top player for us but at the moment he is a bit of an unknown quantity to many people. We need at least 1 fullback, 1 at left back to replace Taylor who i like but i just think that we need a bit better. Also , i would definitely bring in another right back as there is no way that Connolly should be our 1st or 2nd choice for that position as he should be back up for his best positon which is Central defence. We have got McNaughton but there is no way he is good enough to be first or second choice, in my opinion, which is a shame as i love McNaughton and i would like nobody more than him being a big part of our team as he deserves it for his loyalty and commitment to us. I think we also need another central midfielder and i think that us being linked with Sissoko is great as he has played in the Prem before and he wouldn't cost much. We also desperately need a right winger and i would love for it to be Jefferson Montero. I would also get another winger and i would try for Bakary Sahko from Wolves.

One thing to remember is that Swansea lost their first ever game in the Prem 4-0 away. However, that was at the hands of the eventual winners of the Prem that season Man City, who are our opponents for our next game at home. Yet, look how well the jacks have done since that day. So there is still loads of time for us. Also, West Ham are a very good side at home and have beaten some of the best teams in the division there. It was always going to be a really tough opening game for us, whoever we were playing. Yes, the performance and not the loss is the main reason why fans and most likely the players and especially Malky are upset but there are another 37 games left and we will get better and more used to this division as each game comes. That is one of the reasons that i am not to dis-heartened about today but, we MUST sign at LEAST another four or five players if we are to stay out of the relegation zone and compete this season.

Bellers was AWOL, as was Gunner, would rather have had Mutch and Cowie....yes Cowie.

In addition, Connelly is not a right back, my centre half pairing would be him and Caulker.

Whitt played on the left and was anonymous the first half. He kept coming inside too much and provided no width. If we are gonna play this system then Whitt cannot play out wide
