Wed Aug 14, 2013 12:32 pm
yes, excellent signings, Hull have been quite impressive in the transfer market imo.

Wed Aug 14, 2013 12:36 pm
Cracking signing for hull tigers,
I can also see these staying up along with us,
lets all laugh at palace

Hull are short in midfield mind according to brucy on SSN yesterday
Wed Aug 14, 2013 12:39 pm
They haven't signed yet, but reports say a combined £5m fee will do it for Hull.
Great bit of business for them.

Livermore a loan deal I think
Wed Aug 14, 2013 12:53 pm
good deal for them in my opinion...

Huddlestone is a good signing for the Hull City Tigers, Livermore I don't think is good enough. think they'll stand an outside chance of staying up, Palace are making terrible signings though fair play, Holloway hasn't learnt from his mistakes with Blackpool
Wed Aug 14, 2013 1:20 pm
Huddleston & Livermore are good signings in fairness that's if they sign.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 1:22 pm
Fair play to to Hull, decent signings.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 1:26 pm
Wasn't Huddlestone linked with us at one point? Gutted we didn't get him in the end!
Wed Aug 14, 2013 1:32 pm
SSN now confirming Huddlestone signing to Hull. Good signing if they can keep him fit.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 1:52 pm
I'm convinced if we had wanted Huddlestone,he'd be a city player now.Remember Hull couldn't compete with us on Cambells wages(Steve Bruce's own words)so I can't see them beating us to sign him.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 1:55 pm
Wouldn't have minded Huddlestone here if I'm honest.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 2:19 pm
dont need huddlestone anymore do we?
Wed Aug 14, 2013 2:21 pm
But in all honesty, Huddlestone and Livermore are a typical newly promoted club signing, people going for bang average English players. I'm happy with Malky's approach where he is looking for quality
Wed Aug 14, 2013 2:30 pm
Both great signings if they come off.
Along with the LB from Wigan, all good signings.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 2:57 pm
Love to see Malky hijack this! It's a bloody bargain!

I would have been disappointed if we signed either of them to be honest. Livermore is still young and inexperienced and looked severely out of his depth towards the end of last season. Huddlestone is a decent football but for his size, is a bit of a fairy and he severely lacks mobility. He's fine for sitting in front of the back 4 and spraying passes, but is no use at all for closing down/hassling opposition which is what Hull need considering they will spend most of the season defending and chasing the ball. Hull are going to struggle this season.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 4:10 pm
Livermore... not seen much of him, hasn't really stood out when I have
Huddlestone is a decent player but he slows down play so so much and doesn't offer too much other than pinging the ball around from deep
Wed Aug 14, 2013 4:22 pm
Both are below average England players at best. Poor signings.

HULL SIGN SPURS DUO TOM HUDDLESTONE AND JAKE LIVERMORE
POSTED BY ROB PARKER ON AUGUST 14, 2013 IN: HULL CITY, TOTTENHAM, TRANSFER TALK|POST COMMENT
Hull City Tigers (pause for sniggers) have agreed to sign Tottenham midfield pair Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore.
England international Huddlestone, aged 26, will move to the KC Stadium for £5m, while 23-year-old Livermore will join on a season-long loan.
Both players will undergo medicals tomorrow before completing their deals.
Huddlestone featured 21 times under Andre Villas Boas last season, while Livermore made 19 appearances.
Although both players got increased opportunities last term as a result of Spurs’ string of midfield injuries, neither are high up Villas Boas’ pecking order.

Both confirmed.

Some good signings Hull have done!
Boyd - not proven
Davies - average signing
Elmohammady - garbage
Figueora - good signing
Graham - crackhead
Harper - never had a run in
McGregor - decent signing
Sagbo - ok signing

Huddlestone is a good player, but he has a massive problems with injury and fitness. Livemore seems decent but nothing great. They needed CMs though.
