Too early I think october and just starting in the prem,personally think we should make sure we stay up before expanding ,wouldnt want 33,000 ground in the championship(i think we will stay up mind ).Thought it was said on here that the work wouldnt start till latter part of the season mar/apr next year?

There's never a right time to expand a stadium unles you are a top 4 club. No club is garanteed survival. Look at Newcastle. The roof is due to come off in spring. Can't be done no later due to super cup.

Im sure planning permission was granted with the actual planning and build in the first instance. Maybe thats why they're doing it now before it runs out. Might be a time limit on it and to do it now would save time on having to ask for planning permission again.

Not 100% sure on that but could be the case.

I wish they were taking the roof off for the winter. I'd be nice and dry in the Canton and everybody else would be soaking wet

Below answers the above question! There's always a risk of going back to championship.. so might as well do it now!

I would expect the 2nd tier of the grandstand to have its seats changed to red at the same time. Then it will have symmetry with all 2 level seats being red.

if this is the case then I think it is a further sign of positive investment from Vinnie - I get the logic about waiting a season etc but by the same token the demand for tickets and commercial activity has been immense, so on this evidence it is a mitigated business risk to expand this season, and tap into the ST waiting list.

And there were plenty of Championship clubs with bigger capacities than ours currently is.

And as for getting wet, I am in row S and used to get wet anyway with a slight breeze so nothing really different!!
