Above is all the ground moves since 1939 (went back that far as Annis was around then ;) ). I wondered about old grounds when I read the Chester vs. Wrexham thread and couldn't remember what Chester's ground was before the Deva (Sealand Road).

Going through the list brought back loads of memories. Feethams (Darlington) was a ground I used to go to whilst in based in the Army, Belle View (Doncaster) was one of the first ever away games I went to and remember the racecourse behind one end, The Den (Millwall) say no more :laughing6: Filbert Street (Leicester) was one of my favourite grounds for some reason and I always loved Bolton (Burnden Park ) if I remember rightly it had a supermarket at one end.

Whilst they were antiquated each club ground seemed to have its own character and are sorely missed. I don't want to turn this into a Ninian vs CCS thread rather I'd like to know posters (the older ones obviously) experiences are of these grounds.

Don't forget the Jacks moving from the Vetch to the Council House Tony. ;)

I remember going to Roker Park for a Cup reply against Sunderland which was drawn again and the 2nd reply, which I think was at Maine Road, was a midweek afternoon kick off because of power cuts. We did win 3-1 though so worth going. We went to a 2nd reply against Bolton the following season but lost on that occasion. Good atmosphere in all those grounds back in the day.
