You're right, the Chief Constable came out a while and go and said because of budget buts they couldn't afford to police the M4 anymore. They have those Highways Agency wankers, but they can't do shit.

Think you'll find that if they commit an offence they have to be arrested, as they do not have a UK address for a summons to be served!

not all of them as many of them are bailed and asked to reported to the police station until the investigation is done yet they never report back!!! And even if they went to court then what happens to them..? Unless its a serious offence then even after court they are just let go with a slap on the wrist!!!

You're talking a different argument here, as you're now talking about points going on somebody's licence, as before, you were saying they couldn't be fined!
Under the scenario you've painted here, the boss would surely take any fines out of the employee's wages, unless he was soft in the head!

Not if the guy is agency and his wages has already been paid.
Sorry but you also get fined when going through a speed camara so there's no difference at all.

It's soft in the head if you continue to employ somebody who won't pay their fines, whenever you learn about them!
People not returning to work for an agency, when they hear that they've been caught transgressing and don't want to pay fines is a fact of life though, although I'm sure there's still a way of penalising them. Firstly by not employing them yourself, secondly by possibly passing their name to other agencies (Unless this breaches Data Protection or Human Rights laws), but thirdly by chasing them through small claims courts (Depending on their nationality obviously)!

Who said about continuing to employ them..?

Sorry OTM but you really don't understand what really goes on do you..? We will provide the contact details of the driver for the authorities to make their own enquires but its up to the driver whether or not he wants to play ball or not. It really boils down to the authorities weighing up the cost of chasing them compared to the cost of the fine at the end of the day.
