Kadeem Harris - Is he in MM plans?

Tue Aug 13, 2013 7:33 pm

I think we will see harris play this season at some point, seems like a very very good tricky fast winger but still learning :ayatollah:

Maybe travel with the squad on the bench, he would of been loaned out by now. Maybe still could do.

He is putting the performances in. Looking effortless.

Still don't thill he is ready yet for first team... Best thing he can do is keep doing what he is and keep learning

Yep i agree dando hes looking now what bellers was ten years ago i know it may sound stupid but eight goals in less than eight games says it all as a winger no matter who your playing against, sharpe, quick, good touch and can finish he seems to have it all for a wide man, maybe im getting carried away but hes still young to so who knows :ayatollah:

I agree im not excited much these days over a player( not in a gay way ) but this kid would get me off my seat every time he gets the ball you know hes going to try skin a few as a wide man and does 95% of the time :ayatollah:

Even our first team players have looked poor against these opposition. He is showing great attitude by taking all these games serious and his confidence is growing.

He is always making runs and bombing forward.

Imo maybe just maybe he might make it in the squad for one game. Optimistic but I don't see why not.

Nothing wrong with getting carried away. The lad only cost a couple hundred grand. It would be
a right result if he makes it!!

Defiently.Even though its a league cup tie against a league 2 side, if Harris impresses i believe hell get further opportunites. Eti had 2 chances against Macclesfield and Hull and blew both unfortunately

If he can't get into the side in the championship when we were running away with it what makes you think he will this season when every point we get is a huge step to survival

Well we aint going to be up at the top its more like a relegation battle IMO theis season in the prem so i think players might get swapped about now and then and hope this kid gets a chance uinlike the same 11 most weeks in the championship so MM could shake it up with players if he feels things are not going good :malky:

I agree we will need to use our strength in depth but if Montero comes in the we have
Montero
Bellamy
Noone
Smith
Conway
Lappin
Harris

He's right down the pecking order so I see a loan out to a championship side or dvp for another year

I would put Harris above Lappin and Smith, maybe even Conway in current form.

To be honest I would love to see him go to Yeovil on loan , cos he could still train with us and travel over there for Matches.
Hes been putting them away in pre season & gives defenders a real Brain pain :-)

I saw Harris at Hereford and he looked impressive but he is still raw and has a lot to learn. He made some great runs against Hereford surging past players and scored a nice goal. However, if they showed the highlights of that game, Harris would have loooked a world beater, BUT there were njumerous other times during the game where he tried beating players in impossible positions and over doing it, losing possession.

Harris just needs to keep learning, preferably with a League 1/Championship team on loan as only playing regular, competitive football can further his development and make him learn to make the correct decisions such as when to take a player on and when to play a simple pass to keep possession. As impressive as he has looked in pre season, he still makes lots of mistakes and isn't ready yet imo. But he is showing signs that he does have the ability to eventually break through.

After watching the Newport highlights in starting to think Harris is a lot better than I thought, maybe ill be proven wrong and he'll get a breakthrough in some games

to be fair everyone blew it at Macclesfield including harris last season and 45 mins last game of season for eti is hardly enough, eti was massively impressive for dvp squad last season just wasn't in malkys plans, maybe harris and eti could play bit more or be involved with the first team this season but its great to have options :ayatollah:

Harris was recovering from injury weren't he last season?

Also this loan him out s**t is frustrating, players are breaking in at all ages.. I said it a million times.. Luke Shaw broke in to the Southampton team in the Premier League.

Loaning a young player out is just an early indication that they won't make it and will be sold to a low league team.

Look at players at United.. Drinkwater etc.

yeah, look at frank lampard and david beckham!

seriously though, luke shaw broke into the team because he was good enough, if harris isnt at the moment he needs game time.

Send him out on loan until January and see if we need him come the new year

How did they know Shaw was good enough?
