Malkys not finished yet.

Amazing how far we've come.

Look what can be achieved with a bit of investment.

That puts serious pressure on you to perform this year. If you just finish 17th after spending that kind of money it will be seen as abject failure.

why would I be bitter or worried. its just a fact. the more a team spend the higher the expectation, that's just football.

Worried that your brief 2 years above us in the league is about to end. But yous should have got used to looking up at us over the years so it will be an easy readjust

Really? why? because you have spend loads of money?

Who then do you think would get into our team from yours? Id say Caulker and Medel in honesty. 2 players. That's about the difference between us and Arsenal and im sure they are not worried about us in the slightest.

All I said was the more you spend the more pressure comes with it, this is a fact not an opinion.

in fairness whits and kim are probably better than shelvey, but cardiff fans thinking we will be above swansea this season are deluded, i'd be happy to just stay up

Thats an amazing opinion to have i must say. If you dont rate shelvey then we have the dutch international de guzman.

Agree with the last part though.

ye De guzman is good but surely shelvey will be starting with him, and i personally don't rate him
Its just stupid Swansea will probably finish top 8 this season, and at least top 10, do Cardiff fans really think we will get top 10?

No shelvey has been absolutely superb in pre season, liverpool fans were gutted he was allowed to leave. He will start ahead of de guzman which tells you everything you need to know.

He will play in a midfield 5 of Routledge, Dyer, Michu, Shelvey and Britton.

Hernandez, de guzman, canas and Ki on the bench. It really is incredible depth.

Down the table not needing to spend so much money because, you know, established Premier League club and all that.

Sorry about all the deluded people on here. They can't seem to understand more money to spend does not equal success.

Hard to say which Cardiff players would get in the jacks team until we have seen how our players make the step up. When Swansea went up you would have thought Sinclair would have done better than Routledge and Dyer but he wasn't. I think Kim will end up a better player than anyone the jacks have, Medel looks like he would, Bellamy would and Caulker.

Staying up will still be the main objective this season

Swansea fan comes on here to give his views and he isn't worried? :laughing6:

We are the 4th highest spending team in the league and we are still one of the favorites to go down. THAT "is football"
We are only expected to stay up this season. Us fans would take scraping survival on the final day - aslong as we stay in the league.

With Montero & another left back - Expectation will rise but only with the fans of our own club.

If you genuinely believe that then great,

The reality is, you finish 17th and Malky will be in the dole queue.

Don't agree with you there. Yes we have spent a bit but in terms of what survival brings money wise it's not massive. Survival is key, anything else a bonus

If survival is all that the club wanted and expected then they wouldnt be making a sum like £40m available for transfers.

The club have said themselves, they are going for more than scraping the premier league survival barrel, and that is due to the level of investment in place, its business. If the aim isnt achieved then e manager is accountable.

Have to disagree. Survival is the only objective that should be aimed for when you don't spend as much or buy as much talent. Anything lower than comfortable safety and a respectable league finish would be negative with the money spent.

Why would he be worried just because he's on here? How does that logic even make sense. He's just putting in a reality check for some clearly idiotic, biased people here.

Expectation will be from everyone, especially people who aren't fans of the club. Fans would be expecting a decent run and survival. Everyone else will be expecting them to finish mid table if they keep spending so much on specific individuals.

If I was offered 17th now I would take it. You only need to look at some of the sides relegated the last few years to show how tough the league will be. I think we will be safe but I don't see 17th as a failure
