Iain Moody and our recruitment team

Mon Aug 12, 2013 8:34 pm

Lets be fair. The feller has done a cracking job so far. There have been knock-backs and
disappointments, but Cardiff City FC have not settled for run of the mill. We have been
aggressive, we have set our sights high, and we are now beginning to see the results. The
big Scottish feller set his stall out, told Tan who he wanted, what he wanted, how he wanted
to do things and f**k me he's been backed. Moody was a big part of Mackays plans and this
must have been his biggest challenge, trying to sign quality players for Relegation Favourites!!
There were concerns that Tan needed to get a Football Man in? I think our manager and his
recruitment team have proved their worth. Yes we've had to pay top dollar, but pay peanuts
and you get monkeys!! Well done lads!! :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky:

But if we dont get Moreno you have FAILED    :malky: :malky:

Dare I say it, but since malky has come in and sprinkled his magic dust around the place, cardiff city fc has started to become quite an attractive club for would be signings. Think the hardest part is getting them to come and have a look around, but once that's out of the way, it seems like potential signings are pleasantly surprised. tom ince admitted he was really impressed with the facilities, even though he didn't sign.

They have been outstanding. Think we all thought we'd go for cheap foreigners, free transfers and championship players. But aiming for extreme talent to add around our best is brilliant.

But I thought we only signed these players because Sam has come back.

Isn't that right?

It might be a sensible idea by the mods to ban talk of Sam on the board any more. He
means nothing to Cardiff City, and apart from a handful of his chosen few he will always
be viewed as the man who tried to destroy Cardiff City to get back money we didnt know
we owed him. Lets move on.

He will also always be viewed as the man that saved us and started this roller coaster ride that we all boarded 10 years ago ;)

That is probably the best statement regarding Sam. He started the journey and awoke the so called sleeping giant. The up and down journey is open to interpretation . I never thought if see Ccfc in premier league particularly in dark days of Durban and hibbit. Without Sam I doubt we'd be where we are now.

If you start with banning talk about Sam then there would be calls to ban other subjects like Bluebirds Unite, Steve Borley or even Vincent Tan.

I personally will always have gratitude towards him (Sam) because in his own unique way he has contributed massively towards our rise over the past 13 years. Of course with the pro's come the con's but over all I think he had a massive positive impact on CCFC.

I accept that others have the totally opposite view. Both camps are pretty entrenched and I have next to no chance of convincing some who sees Sam as 'scam' that he was very good for CCFC and they have no chance of convincing me of their view. So the Sam debate is done to death.

I still think you shouldn't ban subjects but may be we should all show some personal responsibility and recognise that contributing to such subjects is pretty pointless.

Only viewed as that by his groupies and the gullible.

I got on board that roller coaster in around 91 with Ricky Wright God rest him. He was the first chairman
who seriously believed Cardiff City should be up there with the big boys. But he was fairly honest about it
and said he didnt have the money to do it. We should never ever forget that the reason Sam Hammam got
to almost mythical status amongst fans back then was based on one huge fat expensive lie after another.
Every single exciting, rousing step he took around that pitch probably cost Cardiff City around £1000. It
kind of baffles me there was a march to oust Ridsdale who was a lying fucker yet many of the same marchers
still hold Sam up as some kind of demi-god. When he was the biggest lying Chairman in Cardiff City history.
He said so himself the other week - Without Vincent Tan Cardiff City Would Have Gone Bust! The daft tw*t
seemed to forget it was HIM trying to close us down

hero my arse

Its a fair question to be honest.

Who told the biggest lies. Ridsdale or Hammam?

I would say the golden ticket scam answers that.

And When I Leave The Debt Leaves With Me became - Where's My f*cking Money?

Your kidding, right?

No I'm not kidding.

You obviously have got a chip on your shoulder about Sam and whatever I say is not going to budge you.

Not a chip. An educated, reasoned opinion. He gutted me. I believed him when he told me to my
face that I Will Keep Spending My Money Until I am f*cking Skint. I believed him when he said When
I Leave This club I will Take My Debt With Me. Thats why i idolised him and used to chant his name.
Meanwhile, every penny he was spending was increasing the debt against Cardiff City. Not Sam Hammam,
Cardiff City. Thats not a theory. Thats fact. Can you refute my accusations? did he NOT say all those
things? and did we not all wake up one dark morning to find out Cardiff City was £32m in debt?

The money you are referring to is Langston money NOT Sam. Sam put in £3 million and that money has been written off. In fact Sam said he would not be putting in any more of his own money after the £3 million.

The inner circle will never convince the outer circle about sam, that's just the way it is

Very good so far imo. The amount of time theyve spent tracking good players who have slipped under the radar is incredible

Sam paid himself 500k a year. That more than compensated him for the £3m alleged initial outlay.

A High Court Judge with experience, qualifications and access to all the documentation was pretty
much convinced that Sam Hammam WAS Langston. Thats where i base my belief. Yours is based on
the word of a man you dont know.
