Tickets Cardiff for foreign supporters

Mon Aug 12, 2013 5:59 pm

Huy guys,

I'm for the Netherlands and wanna visit my team next year in the premier league. Now i was looking around at the website for buying tickets but i see its only possible when you have a goldmembers card, right?

Do you think its worth coming over the 3rd of november for the match against Swansea and trying to get a ticket somewhere? Or any other options to get tickets? And otherwise i will come without ticket and just hang around the town and watch the match in a pub. Is this it worth to come over? Will it be busy in the pubs in the centre? :)

Cheers lads!

You will stand absolutely no chance of getting a ticket without gold membership. You need gold membership and Swansea will be the game that sells out as soon as possible. Your only chance is ticket touts

This may be a wind up, but I wouldn't be suprised if more foreigners started popping up on here throughout the season.

If you are making the trip and can afford the money your best chance may be a hospitality ticket at £150 - £200. But I'm sure these will go very quickly too. And of course you are possibly a bit out of the atmosphere in the other stands (can't comment on that myself).

1). Who are you? The Rosetta Stone English teacher? Lol

2) the country is not called holland. Holland is a region within the country of the Netherlands, so it is possible he isn't from holland!

A few years ago, I visited Amsterdam on the weekend of their Ajax home game versus Feyenord.....which is Cardiff Swansea; Mancs Liverpool. Of course, a total sell out.

Went to the stadium and said " I know this is a daft question......." "Are you crazy!! This is Feyenord!!! Wait a minute, are you from overseas? We keep a number of seats back for overseas visitors......just need a copy of your passport."

Two tickets sorted!

So, 1. Not a daft question from our Dutch friend.
And 2. Club may do worse than set up a similar scheme for overseas tourists to spread the word.

Hahaha sure i'm not from Holland, thats the region of Ajax :old: :laughing6:
I'm from the Netherlands, the Utrecht region :malky:

I've send ofcourse already the club a mail to ask for tickets. But they told me i need to buy a goldcard first. How much is that anyway? But i guess its not the perfect option..

As i see i dont see a change to get a ticket for this match haha. Ok, the hospitality tickets are to much, 200 pound, honestly. And i will come with 4 friends. So, ever harder to get a ticket for this sold out game.

Do you think its worth this visit Cardiff that weekend and watch the game in a Cardiff pub? Or everyone is or in the satdium OR watch it at home?

Thanks for helping guys :ayatollah:

Its £40 for a gold card and you would all need one if you wanted to go as its 1 ticket per membership.

You'd probably have a great time watching it in Canton in one of the pubs

Hi Mate
I know of four guys that travel over from Rotterdam to watch the City home and away, they usually do about 10-15 games a year.
They are coming over for West Ham Saturday.
If you want a contact No let me know and I will put you in touch.

If you watch in a pub in Cardiff and we win it will be hysteria around the city, if we lose you will want to be on the first flight home

Ticket booked! (love Easyjet)

Any recommending for a typical Cardiff pub to watch the game with a good atmosphere?
