Bilbao Friendly

Haven't been on here all weekend.

But couldn't believe how good Bilbao were with possession and passing. Played us off the park first half and we couldn't string 5 passes together due to them pressing. Great goal by Whittingham and well done to Campbell who played in the lone role and kept trying to get behind the defence and held the ball up well for the goal.

Second half we came out a better team and looked better on the ball. Lovely tackle by Turner for the second goal and KIM and Campbell have built some great understanding in Pre Season and a lovely calm finish by Campbell.

Whittingham has looked brilliant in the past 2 friendlies. Passing and shooting more.

KIM once again looking fantastic for us.

Caulker is a monster at CB winning everything and he passes on the floor which was nice to see.

Turner has been great, progressed a lot in Pre Season and make some fantastic tackles and blocks.

Smith is really off the boil for me and I think we should get rid IMO. MM does rate him a lot.

Noone has been good and looks sharp.

John still looks brilliant, a lot to learn and will make mistakes but still got something special with this lad.

Bilbao overall got a fantastic team and really play some great Football and the movement is incredible.

We sat off them too much. I dont see how you can play Whitts with Medel AND Kim. I think we need
Gunnarsson and Medel, both enforcers and both will chip in with goals
