A forum for all things Cardiff City

Morning all,
It is with very heavy heart that I have to re-home my 9 year old Jack Russell cross. He has become very intolerant of my kids (I know where he's coming from lol), and has started to growl at them when they go near him. When they are in bed, he's the most loving dog I know, but he just doesn't seem to like them.
Can anyone recommend a place I can contact about re-homing? I've contacted Caerphilly council, as well as a place called Four Paws in Newport. I really want to make sure he goes somewhere he'll be looked after.
Cheers all,
Lee

We have an 8 year old bitch but we are thinking of getting another. Is he well trained and how does he behave? Does he have any medical problems? Thanks!

He's very well trained, and when the kids aren't around, his behaviour is great. I think that as he's gotten older, he has just got less tolerant to the kids. He loves to sit on my lap and watch TV normally, but not when the kids are up and running around. He's just started staying in his bed out of the way, and when he does occasionally growl at them, I have to put him outside. It seems unfair on him, but I can't take the risk that he might bite them. He is a terrier after all.
He has no medical issues, and is fully vaccinated. His last booster was in January. He's only ever had to have treatment once at the vet for a small abscess, but this was about 3 years ago, and was only one course on antibiotics.

Get rid of the kids, it'll be cheaper for you, trust me.

Looked into that, not as simple

Not that letting Max go will be simple

Good luck. Looks a cheeky little chappie. Wish I could help.

Only advice I'd give is to not take him to a council pound. Miserable places they are! Also look to ship a dog out to the first person who comes along. Look for a DogsTrust to take him to. There used to be one in Bridgend but I'm not sure if it is still there.

sad times but good luck

Might have been a fleeting generalisation but there are always exceptions to any opinion.
