Best Away Support

Sun Aug 11, 2013 9:36 pm

Who do you think will bring the best support/banter/atmosphere this season?

The Jacks will obviously be up for it and we know about Newcastle being great travellers but i've heard loads about the (real) Man Utd fans so looking forward to seeing what the fuss is about

Anyone else?

Newcastle and West Ham IMO.

I would say united personally! I went with my mate who is a big liverpool fan to anfield a couple of years back for their fa cup game, the united fans were incredible that day! Did not shut up until liverpool scored the winner late on! Obviously swansea will be well up for it! Just hope the atmosphere at the CCS goes up a few nothces this year to get behind the team, wouldnt mind it being like the crystal palace semi every match. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

United's away support was head and shoulders above any other PL club coming to the Liberty for the last 2 seasons.

Did you think so cant remember any loud away support at swansea last season. Newcastle have not filled the away end both times they have come to swans in th PL. Best away support ever to come to the liberty was without doubt Leeds.

Yep. Most of the away support is poor although that may be because their team is chasing shadows most of the time :laughing6:

I agree with your Leeds comment although they had the advantage of having an extra 1,000 there compared to what is allowed now.

Yeah leeds had 3000 and even when they were 3 nil down they still did not stop. That chant we all love leeds was going for 30 mins non stop. As for the prem very poor, including places such as stoke, spurs.

And i remember a few years ago when man utd went to hull they were given 3000 tickets which were split 1500 to season tickets holders and the other 1500 went on sale to fans in the far east japan and south korea, so if anyone thinks Ron's red army will be rolling into town, maybe will be shocked when its more like holiday makers on a day trip with bum bags and camra.

United's support is great, it's made up of their core support. The ones who are there week in week out. Poor at home but magnificent away. I think Liverpool will be decent here

United are great away from home.

Blackburn away a few seasons ago Valencia scored they were incredible.

Are Spurs any good? When in Europe they were incredible at home but big occasion and that.

Spurs man u liverpool arsenal will sellout any away end in the PL everton chelsea man city probably will depending on a few factors, then you got teams like west ham, villa if they are doing well will take good away support, newcastle are over rated 3 times i have seen them come to Swansea and nowhere near filled the away end.

Newcastle took a few to us for a Pre Season but most likely a few of the fans were local from the UK.

Spurs good in terms of noise?

In terms of noise i honestly can say that every team that has come to swansea for a PL game in the last two years has been poor, even clubs such as chelsea, spurs west ham away support is full of middle class, you will soon find out for yourself, the PL is a great league to play in but the atmophere at most grounds you will find is poor.
