Stupid question

When we refer to a player getting 40k a week is that for the whole year (52 weeks) or is that for the nine or so months that they are in training and playing during the season?

Per full year, they are still employed by the club even in the summer

Its deffo the 12 month, this is the exact reason clubs let their transfer dealings drag on to the end of the summer window, otherwise players are brought in early whilst there is no football to be played.
