" There are more quality players on the way, But "

Expect at least another 1 quality player or even 2 quality players in the next 10 days

But also expect a few of the current squad to leave just after.

Probably take us to about £40mill,not a bad budget.
We needed to spend that amount to get us to the next level in order to compete in the premier.

I wouldn't put it past Tan not to spend £50 mill plus this season.

50 million will only be half our turnover this year so compared to last year not bad business :ayatollah:

After spending that much money you should call him Mr Tan :laughing6: :ayatollah: :malky:

I have reasonable Suspicions that Tan will be able to invest a decent amount of his advertising budget from his various global business interest( sure an annual figure of 100 million was mentioned somewhere ?)towards team strengthening.
The benefits of 3 billion people worldwide watching Premiership football week in and week out would make the stadium a real asset to Tan,also the 140 million already earned over the next four years will take the financial pressure off to a decent degree.

Montero and Gamez (the two i think will be coming in) will take us upto approx 38-40 million. If Tan has told Malky there's 50 million go spend it, then I wouldn't mind a 20+ striker. or another winger. Could pick up bent for 6 mill and someone like Buckley for 4 mill.

Exciting times :ayatollah: :malky:

Caulker and Medel are excellent signings but spending money doesn't automatically mean we can stay up. QPR spent £44m last season and only got 25 points. Looking forward to the West Ham game to get an idea of exactly how we measure up.

Is Malky fierce enough to cut loose Smith and Cowie by the end of the window?
Queue the they are good squad players garbage from some. We are in the toughest league around and no room for passengers.

Slightly concerned about Connolly at right back also. Solid defensively but gives you nothing on the overlap, Good player but looks a centre half playing full back.

Like to see Ralls in the 18 more, who cares he's only 19 the kid got a massive future.

Connolly is naturally Centre half, playing at right back.

I would like to see kadeem be brought through, he has been on fire for the DVP scoring for fun also. Mason, Ralls and Kiss along with Velikonja, all need REGULAR first team action in the championship in my honest opinion.

Re: " There are more quality players on the way, But "

Seems we are going for two players a position.

Moore, Marshall

Brayford, Conolly, Kev
Caulker, Turner, Hudson, (Another?)
Taylor, John, Lappin

Gunnar, Medel
Whitts, Mutch
Kim (another?)

Bellamy, Noone, Smith

Campbell, Cornelius, Maynard, Mason.

An AM that can play on the wing, plus having Campbell and/or Maynard fill in there seems to be a strong possibility.

Tat would lose Kiss, Cowie maybe Smith, Lappin and maybe Mason (though personally I think Mason offers something a bit different).

The great thing about some of these foreign players is that they WILL sell shirts in their home countries and raise the profile and bring in more cash... I was in Korea this year and Park was still the main footballer on posters in kit shops etc. Kim Bo will be everywhere there... Also Medel will raise profile in South America, Cornelius in Denmark, hopefully Montero will be another for South America! Since Ruiz went to Fulham they show a lot of their games live in Costa Rica, can have a huge impact...

Do you think you will win the Premiership this year?

Not too sure, but I have a more definite opinion of you, fella...

SAD

Fantastic to see quality coming into the squad but we must all remember that team spirit played a massive part in our promotion so Malky i'm sure will be careful not to destroy what we had last season.

With a few more additions we can cement our Champions League spot, currently occupying them now, can't see why we can't stay there x :ayatollah:

We will will need to lose a good few, twenty five man squad is plenty and two players for every position is more than enough.....

Will need to ease the wste bill too ...

That is the way with football, always has been.

As a football fan you have many sad moments when favourite players leave but those moments are quickly forgotten as new heroes make their way into your heart.

Annis, does the money that the club is spending concern you?

Im amazed at the team we are going to be able to produce next season, it makes me proud to be a Cardiff fan,

but 40-50m is a lot of money if we don't survive! (Thats a big IF too - I think we'll finish either 13, 14 or 15th)

Will Tan see relegation as a time to wind up his tenure and start calling back the money we owe him?

I dont think this will happen, but it's in the back of my mind... there's always a What If!

What everybody seems to be forgetting is with another 2 big signings even if we got relegated we would have enough quality to storm back from the championship. :ayatollah:
