More than meets the eye there mate in my opinion, he couldn't have done to bad, hes the chairman of Preston and a top guest
of Rio Ferdinand and sold us to TG who passed us off to VT, not to shabby according to some, if anything
he should be celebrated???

Iv read the link mate and Im pretty sure he is still the chairman or preston noth end, I cant find anything that says he is not or who is the current Chairman, He was banned from being a director for financial irregularities, but it doesnt stop him being chairman.

Where is my "hatred" ? My O/P showed with the use of shocked face smiley my shock at seeing Ridsdale there tonight.

I don't know the man or enough about what actually happened in the period between Sam and Tan to form any real opinion of him. I've seen a lot of opinions on here.

The point is first Sam is back (did he ever really go?), Now is Peter Ridsdale back too?

Don't you think it is a strange coincidence? Time will tell, watch this space.

People need to read the articles very carefully.

Peter Ridsdale is referred to as Chairman of Football on the Preston North End website not PNE Chairman.

It is also stated that he is not a director of Preston North End, which fits in with his ban.

The Chairman of a Company Board of Directors has to be a Director as otherwise they would not be a Board Member.

The statements appear contradictory unless you remember that clever business people have ways of getting around things. My guess is that the board of PNE have set up a Football Sub Committee with PR as Chairman, hence his Chairman of Football title. As he is only on a Sub Committee he need not be (and is not) a director of the club and would not be involved in the director level legal matters. Depending on the amount of authority the Board delegates to their Sub Committee, Chairman of Football could be a very powerful role as seems to be the case as last season he sacked the manager.
