Is it true no children's blue or yellow kits will be sold??

Fri Aug 09, 2013 5:50 pm

A friend of mine was in the City shop the other day and was told that no alternative kits in child sizes will be sold due to demand, does anyone know if this is true and if so I think that it's disgusting, was hoping to buy my boy a blue kit every year but This put a stop to that as I don't agree with the rebrand so won't be buying the red kit, any info or confirmation would be great!!

I asked in the club shop the other day. It's true no alternative kits will be available in kids sizes due to lack of demand

Is it true all the cups plates ect ect are going to be red? Must be a thousand different things to re brand at club?

If true, it's a disgrace.

This would just be another way of forcing the red revolution on the next generation of fans.

You need a product out there before you can tell if there is demand for it.

Don't agree with the re-brand yet buy a product with the re-brand badge on

I find this hard to believe, but if it is its shocking that the club would do this ,basically forcing kids if they want a Cardiff City shirt then it has to be red

Very sad if true,

So our kids can only buy red shirts!!!!????
Talk about indoctrination.
Vincent Tan's vile re-brand schemes continue to sicken me.

the kits aren't even out yet so how can you come up with 'there's not much of a demand for them' so they wont be selling them:?: someone likes making up shit!

Only the other week someone was saying they got told at the club shop there wont be a blue kit. Just a bunch of propaganda to turn people against Tan and the club

Just come back from the shitty doo down the city asked the manager if this is true an she said it was, not all bad they are doing the blue kit in sizes 5-6yrs upwards still no infant kits tho so that's me screwed with a 1 yr old, and as for the donut above mentioning the badge, I can deal with the badge even tho its terrible we've changed that before, but changing our home kit red is a whole different thing!! Anyway still think its wrong that they'll do infant sizes in red but not blue after all we are the BLUEBIRDS!!!

Why shouldn't they? They are clearly doing all they can to tred on the blue.

That's what actually pisses me off more than anything. Red is one thing, but the rebrand constantly tries to deny and shy away from the club's history.

It's so disrespectful to us as fans.

I have a two year old daughter. I want to buy her her first City shirt, but they don't have the blue one on sale- total joke.

No they're not. The blue kit is our AWAY/ALTERNATIVE kit, hence why they want it to sell. It is selling and that's the point.

Instead of moaning do something positive.

Go into the club shop before / after every game (and other times) and ask for a blue kit in the child size you want. Even better, ask to put down a deposit on a pre-ordered kit to show that you are genuine.

Write a letter / email the club asking to buy the blue kit in smaller sizes.

Encourage others to do the same.

Ask what is the minimum quantity that has to be ordered in each size (these days should be quite small such as 10 per size) then prove that there is the demand by encouraging others to go in and put down a deposit for a child kit.

Prove that the demand is there and the kits will be put on sale.

I asked about adult blue kit and they would not give a date

There is no indoctrination, there is no clandestine plan, it is all out in the open. The re-brand has happened and we now play primarily in red shirts(hopefully we will play in blue sometime in the future). But as it stands red is the current colour blue is the not too distant past.
Work your way around the problem. Instead of clamouring for replica premiership shirts, and if the history is important to you, then buy a replica shirt from past blue seasons from Toffs or similar outlet.
My personal favourite is the 1977 shirt but there are others to choose from. Good quality, authentic badges(which have changed often) authentic materials and you can make your statement about the blue history.
As for moaning about the availability of non existent shirts in the club shop you can actually do something positive. As the current club colour is not going to change any time soon!

Toddlers kits have never sold well. It's purely economics.

If this is all people have to worry about then life should be great.

Just phoned club shop no blue infant kit.

Have the clubs even had a baby/toddler away kits in seasons gone by? It's obviously only become an issue now because the home kit is red.

I know my mother couldn't even get a baby/toddler home kit in the years prior to any sort of success.

No we haven't had an infant away kit in the past except for last year as the away kit was originally going to be the home kit.

Thought this year we would have been able to buy all kits in any size to be honest.
