Any help will be great, however small it is

https://www.justgiving.com/local/project/thebunsu15s

I had 229 views yesterday but no pledges sadly however i have had pledges from my facebook of £50.00 so far

Even a £1 from all my views would have been a massive step to achiveing my target goal

I hope you can help

Thank you all

Another 89 views yesterday, if only £1 was given over the two day, my fund would have been over £300 closer. Please pledge if you can

Many thanks

Matthew

Why not take the team bag packing at asda or any other supermarkets

Oh what the hell I'll give you the extra £250 you need for front of back sponsorship if you want mate.

When I was councillor in Merthyr I sponsored 5 teams altogether and seeing the kids faces when putting on a new kit was fantastic!!!!

PM me to sort it out :ayatollah:

Well I'll try and meet up with the OP tomorrow afternoon if he gets back in contact with me beforehand. I do hope that Carl gets media interest in Meerkat Recruitment coming to the rescue of this local team ;)

Well I'm open minded about spilting the advertising with anyone else as long as it helps the team get a new kid.

I'll donate £50 but you have to put my Twitter username @jamesbarnett39 on the back of every shirt. :old:

I'd happily put a business on the shirts for a very good donation/sponsorship

And the forum name would be a very good idea also

Sadly £50.00 for a twitter name on the shirt would cost me more than the donation as to get my badge onto my shirts alone will cost me just shy of £100.00

I could do a business name on front and one on the back maybe ?

I'm new to this but i know our other sides have received full kit sponsorship in the region of £500.00 or more (they are younger sides) my team consists of 14 year olds and basically in mens kits now  the big lumps lol

I've had 621 views overall so if the viewers had just given a £1, my target would have been easy to meet and military was going to donate the top up to 750.00, I hope you all can help an reaching my target goal

710 views between two posts - a £1 a man and my target would have been met

:o. Would you all just pledge £1? What do you think mods - to help a fellow city fan and a local junior football side?

Please help

Mate I'm not being funny but having a dig at those who have viewed your link but haven't donated is not the way to convince people to back you. I normally don't mind giving to things like this but I have been totally put off by your entitlement attitude that everyone SHOULD give a pound rather than giving through personal generosity.

Rather than target those who haven't donated (as is their right) may be you should concentrate on thanking and praising those who have? With your current attitude you won't get donations as you are starting to piss people off.

My advice? Scrap this thread and start another one with a much better attitude.

Fair enough Tony, point taken

I apologise to anyone if i have offended them in anyway - it was not my intention to do so or my way, i was just stating the obvious that if my views were turned into pledges then my target goal would have been met - that is all

Mods, please remove all my posts that relate to my request for pledges

I will seek alternate assistance from elsewhere

And many thanks Liam (Bobbanker) much appreciated

Sorry tony I think your wrong mate. I took the approach that you have suggested and it hit me nowhere. I ended up havin to fund it all myself. The fact that Matthew has put "if people donate a £" got me thinking and I did pledged.

Re: Fund for a well overdue youth kit

The only thing i can see i did wrong was say "should" have been met instead of "could" have been met?

And thanks again Liam (BobBanker) for you pledge

If anyone would like to donate my link is attached

I thank you in advance for any pledges donated and thanks for taking time in looking at my post

Very true Gwyn, i managed to raise £3k for the Noahs Ark appeal a good few years ago doing the Cardiff Marathon

Charities win hands down and if i could afford it i would donate to as many charities as i could

I have no problem with trying to raise funds through this MB in fact during its first few years it was a regular thing and I gave to loads of different events, from football kits to MS research.

What I don't like is the pressure or guilt trips in order make posters donate. Remember these are hard times so if someone is going to donate then that is a fantastic gesture. Some of those who viewed might have had a look and thought "I'll do that on pay day" and were planning to return, that's what I was planning to do but got put off by the attempted guilt trip.

Matthew and yourself are the salt of the earth and I really admire those who get off the arse and do something for youngsters. But fund raising is a sensitive area and must be treated as such. If Matt makes a new appeal where he simply states what he is trying to do and asks for voluntary donations then I would hope that the Mods would make it a sticky for one month and in that time he should raise a substantial amount

Tony I think you are being a bit harsh on the OP.

Thats the problem with emails / posts people read them differently and I didnt read the guys posts as putting pressure on people, or giving them a guilt trip.

You look at any of the charity adverts on TV and they put far more pressure on, some are even asking for £5 per person, per month. As far as guilt trips go they are far worse than this thread.
