Can anyone recommend some 'interesting' places for me and the wife on our 10th anniversary....and some even more interesting places for me to go on my own while she's taking 3 hours to make herself look presentable? Staying in Wenceslas Square area...

I stayed in the green garden hotel in Prague and they were offering a trip to go to Terezin concentration camp. Really really good visit but heartbreaking stories.  Well worth going and take some hankies

Went to that place when Wales played over there. Fascinating history of a place I had never heard of before. Still got original offices and cells, furnaces and kids drawings. Lots of interesting facts, but it will spoil it for you if I say more. Get a good guide so you see and hear everything if you go there.

The beer in Prague is like nectar from the Gods. Main Square can be expensive compared to bars in side streets literally 50 yards away. The local brew is Urquell which as I said is pure nectar, and I strongly recommend you seek out bars that sell the un-pasturised Urquell because that it so good you won't want to be distracted by anything else (the'll only nick your wallet).

If you've never tied Urquell before you can get it in bottles in Tesco (£1.99 / 4 for 3 at moment) :ayatollah:

Herceg Novi in Montenegro. Fly into Tivat or Podgorica; 3 hrs from London. The old city is quiet and beautiful with a stunning waterfront in the summer sun.
