ALL TALKING ABOUT CARDIFF

Thu Aug 08, 2013 10:01 am

Went up one of the local pubs for a pint with the wife last night, and amazed to see and hear how many of the old blokes were talking about Cardiff, now I have noticed over the last few weeks that we tend to be the topic of conversation in most pubs and clubs I frequent in the area, it's been a real eye opener how knowledgeable a lot of people are and how important the club is to them.

They may not go down anymore for a number of reasons, but they don't consider themselves any less a fan than me or you, and rightly so, a lot of these people were there in the fifties and sixties and recollect players and game with ease.
Those people that reckon the area is mainly rugby couldn't be more wrong, the whole area is sport mad, but football and especially Cardiff is way out in front, and I for one am absolutely loving it. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Be interesting to see just how much interest will actually be generated for the next 6 nations when Wales has two teams in the Premier League.

Anyone know what fixures will be played during the 6 nations.?

there is one small fixture during the 6 nations against ummm...Swansea. Not sure if there is an actual Welsh fixture that day but the tournament is on at the same time.

We are playing Swansea at home in November. The autumn internationals are played around then

For sure football has the upper hand ATM, but just imagine the scene if Wales won the Rugby World Cup at Twickenham in 2015?
