He could take a step up, but the problem for our youngsters now is that they have to step up to the premier league !..... Gonna be tough for them....

It will be tough for him. He needs regualr football, so I would send him out on loan to a championship side and see how he copes.

He needs to be given a chance this season

Young players are breaking in at this age.

There is no point giving the bollock they need to develop or go out on loan because that's where the most likely answer lies they will be leaving the club.

Bring him into the squad for Saturday I say.

Big problem with the game is that with the huge finacial investment, every game is critical as failure is not an option with what is at stake.

This makes bringing through youngeters into the first team in league games such a risk and managers like Malkay need to stick with what they know. No owner or fan would accept relegation even if it meant that the club were developing young players into top class players.

Instant sucsess is imperiative, so unfortunately it means many British players are getting left behind in the reserves and only playing the odd Capitol One Cup game in the firsts.

So back to the question of whether Harris will breakthrough, sadly I'd say not

If we were still in the championship then yes, but now there's less games to go around and points are much more precious so malky won't be looking to experiment, if he don't go out on loan then he may get 10 minutes here and there, more excited about Declan John tbh
