Peace

Thu Aug 08, 2013 12:16 am

To the opponents of Bluebirds Unite on here and elsewhere. The celebration before the Man City home match is intended to be peaceful.

There will be families there. Please don't attack children.

If you are an obedient servant of a rich man, that's up to you but you can't force other people to be the same.

This is still a free country, it's not China.

Please change your username if the bluebird offends you. I've noticed that lots of BU opponents on here have "blue" or "bluebird" as part of their usernames. Very strange, that and suggests an element of confusion over our identity.

Rich people like to divide and rule and they've been successful at Cardiff City Football Club, sadly.

Their intentions may be good but there is no doubt the media will twist the true message like the vultures they are to deliver real damage. Its not BU I am worried about bit more the vile tabloids who'd love nothing more than to pour petrol all over our ever burning fire. Lets just hope Bluebirds Unite aren't the pill that leads to the eventual cardiac arrest of Cardiff City FC.

It's not the message, it's the way it's being conveyed :ayatollah:

I doubt there will be any attacking of children or anyone, most anti BU are new or at least not "old school" and if I remember our "Old school" knew how to look after themselves.

Sitting as a total hypocrite who will never wear red, buy the beermat or a programme but still bought season tickets for my 2 kids and myself, I can't condemn what BU are trying to do, how can I,I agree with them !
What I disagree with is the constant insinuation that they are somewhat superior to the other "reluctant reds" ,because, that is exactly what they are; reluctant.
If they are as devout as they proclaim, don't go and kneel at the alter of your master, protest outside the game. Tell you what,do it when we are live on sky against united- don't take your seat, protest outside the ground for the whole game, that will get you coverage.

I speak to a few old friends who never ventured anywhere near "the city" when I was in school in the 80's. But when I speak to them in the Canton Stand with their kids they are proud to be able to support a successful football team in a safe environment and are happy for the VT revolution. The red thing doesn't bother them as much as me- New fans - yes, pro VT - yes, about to attack BU - no.

Nedd you are one of my favourite posters on here mate and have always been balanced and given excellent contributions to this board.
The problem is that people on message boards say things in a way they wouldnt if they were speaking to someone face to face.

Even you in this post say something like 'obedient to your rich master' which is a bit of a dig.

My view is to let people do what they want. If they want to wear blue wear blue. If they want to wear red wear red.

The biggest thing that pisses me off is either the constant bullying of people to be one or the other.

I understand people are pissed off but I dont need to be told by the same people day in day out.

You're saying you have to follow Bluebirds Unite to be a true fan of the bluebird and blue. I want to us to be blue but I don't have to follow BU. I don't agree with all of their ideals and opinions.

You sound more like a commie than anyone.

Difficult once this - do not like to be considered less of a supporter just because I decide not to march like BU members intend.

I will not wear the red, although my kids do. What i do struggle with is that BU are so vehmently against the red, that after the march they will then watch City play - in red!!

Surely if they are that much against it they would not bother attending, IMO. :old:

If BU don't attend the games wearing the blue, Tan has already won!

I think enough fans, who are not part of BU, wear and will continue to wear the blue - to me that speaks volumes w/o creating a divide of BU members/non members. Shows greater unity without the potential risk of any " march" being hi-jacked by comments of the gathered press.

Better to see 15000 - 20000 wearing blue in the ground rather than 200 protesting about red outside

Tan had already won before Bluebirds Unite had even become a thing.

Would never take my children on any protest or march there always idiots with an agenda.

Come on another dig at Cardiff fans who aren't interested in that BU group you also can't force people to join in something they don't believe in themselves, you coming across as very hypocritical

If every fan had your attitude, then Tan would have already won. You might be happy to roll over and accept it, but luckily myself, BU and everyone else wearing blue to the games is not and that at least gives us a glimmer of hope.

Everyone an expert on the media these days eh

That last march wasnt reported in a negative light so why should this be any different?

As one poster has already posted on here if you want to celebrate blue then celebrate it. If you dont then dont. Shouldnt be any pressure either way.

Everyone getting their knickers in a twist over the stance of others. Get a life.
