Gunnarsson to play against Athletic Club

Excellent news.

Let's not undervalue who we already have in the club, with all the weeping and wailing about Ince, Capoue etc. Gunnar is one of a crop of players who I believe will get better and better over the next few years. I prefer him to Whitts in the defensive midfield role if we don't get anyone else in before West Ham (and Mutch still not recovered from the groin strain)

I hope he still has his long throw after the injury!

Gunnarsson is still quite young and is energy and engine will get us through some games.

Saw him turn up last Saturday before kick off doing sprints, dedicated to getting through the injury.

Had a thorough fitness test and was still walking off when the ref blew for kick off - feck Capoue, Mbia etc, Gunnar is the man for the job.

Agree gents. A very underrated player. Strongman. Very fit. Lets not forget the tenacity and team spirit that gt us up and will serve us well. We don't want to do a QPR.
