Gomis

Looks like the Newcastle deal isn't yet done and dusted yet! I'd love us to go in with a higher bid and nick him, he does look the real deal and better than Bony IMO! With Bellers, Campbell and Maynards Knee issues and the big Man already picking up niggles i feel we need another quality striker on board to stay up and he would be my pick of the bunch...

What part of 'Gomis rejected a move to both Cardiff and Swansea' do some fans not understand?

Nothing like that has ever been mentioned officially in the media, his only statement was that he will join a club that matches his ambitions.

Correct he never actually mentioned Cardiff at all, plus I think his mindset may have slightly altered now that the transfer window is coming to its final stages.

Watch this space- Even if Gomis doesn't come, reading between lines on Malky's interview in the echo on Monday, he says 'unless something special happens' he wont need another striker. Tells me hes got a Big Iron in a decent sized fire there, who knows here's hoping...

The Lyon chairman came out public and said that Lyon accepted offers from Swansea and Cardiff but Gomis rejected it. Cant find a link to it but he definitely did.

We move on from him.

We don't need anymore strikers and MM isn't in for one.

He's an obvious problem so I'd rather we didn't. Wouldn't sign for us, then Swansea and then another club came in and that didn't materialise either and now the Newcastle deal is on the verge of collapse according to reports. I think its quite obvious the problem is him and not the clubs trying to sign him.

He clearly fails to realise he isn't as good as he thinks and his next move will be a step down and not to a Champions League level team.

Something is confusing with this guy. Been so close to many clubs yet can complete a deal with a club.

Need him now more than ever IMO, dry upfront v Hammers!
