Both clubs are fighting to attract Etienne Capua Cardiff City and Atletico Madrid. According to the Spanish daily As the Colchoneros have made a new offer to Toulouse, this time from 9 million to recruit the French international midfielder (25). A proposal that so far remains lower than the 10 million that the Welsh would be willing to invest.

its common knowledge Toulouse have accepted our bid the player and his agent have accepted our terms he's just waiting to see if any more offers come in. Toulouse won't take any less off Atletico than we have offered so its a waiting game. Malky hasn't said we are pulling out of the deal yet has he?

Dont like all this stalling tho its obvious he doesn't want to play or us. With the season next week we are still without a defensive midfielder until gunnar is back

yep but I would rather wait for Capoue than jump in for Mbia the difference in class between the two is huge we can get by without Gunnar for a game or two if need be.

So what if we end up with none of them and we are short of midfielders and have a terrible start to the season because of it genius?

You also don't have to be mastermind to work out that we have offered 12 million euros including add ons and Atletico have offered 9 million to realise which offer Toulouse will accept and which they will reject. More legs in this yet. Malky has said himself some transfers may well go down to the wire.

yes of course but Toulouse will not accept a 9 million euro bid when there's a 12 million euro bid on the table either, its up to the player to sign. If there was no hope I am sure Malky would have let it be known in the press that we are pulling out. Something may very well happen (nod nod, wink wink) when we meet Atletico on the weekend :ayatollah:

Arrogance from the Spaniards if true. They know that a bid has been accepted for £12m
I hope Capoue sees it that way too.

In actual fact, Toulouse do have a say in who they sell to. Unless a bidder triggers his release clause of course. Toulouse have already said that they will not entertain any offers lower than ours regardless if the player wants the move, Toulouse own the contract and they will sell on their terms.

The player has the most say. He just says to Toulouse, I aint joining Cardiff, so its up to you wether you take the 9m on offer from A.Madrid.

Toulouse aint gonna lose out on 9m, they are desperate for the cash.

Why would something happen when we meet Atletico Bilbao when its Atletico Madrid we are in competetion with for Capoue?

Are we sending a message back to Spain with Bilbao to save on postage?

To be honest I wouldn't want any player here that really didn't want to be here, and that's the way this looks to me.

Let face it ,if he really wanted to play for us he would have put pen to papers by now.

We are third or fourth choice to him,so you have to ask your self, would this show in the way he plays.

We need to have players that are going to give all they have, for a full 90mins and for them to play a full 90mins there heart has to be in it. I think it shows that this guy would only come here if no other club wants him, or is willing to put up the same kind of money as we have.

Move on Malky we dont need that kind of player in our dressing room.
