Healey caps winning Deeside return with a goal!RHYS Healey returned to the Deeside Stadium in Cardiff City colours for the first time since leaving gap Connah's Quay to join the Bluebirds in January.
The 18-year-old scored 12 goals from 12 (+8) Welsh Premier appearances in the first half of last season and his City development squad proved too strong for the Nomads, winning 5-0 in a game arranged as part of his transfer deal.
Simon Everall headed over for the hosts early on and a flick from Mike Hayes also went close to breaking the deadlock before being cleared off the line.
Healey headed just wide on the half hour but the visitors took the lead on 36 minutes after Kadeem Harris cut in from the left before firing past keeper Terry McCormick.
Paul Mooney's free-kick just before the break drew a great save from Cardiff keeper Richards, but City drew further ahead early in the second half when a clearance from McCormick rebounded off a City player and Harris added his second of the night.
Hayes finished a Nomads' attack by hitting the woodwork on 63 minutes but Healey capped his return by adding the third for the visitors with a tap-in at the back post four minutes later.
Slovenian international Etien Velikonja then added two more, rounding substitute keeper John Rushton on 77 minutes and tapping home again two minutes from time.
