Bargains - Players Made Available

Tue Aug 06, 2013 7:34 pm

Clearly it appears as though MM did not fancy some off the recent players that have been made available and what appears discounted prices. Fulham seem to be making the most of it.

Some may have 'a bit of baggage' but for the fee surely some consideration should be made.

Both Remy and Taarabt were made available by QPR for season long loans which appear to be great bargains. Bent on the other hand may go for as little as 6million but I suppose his wages would be high. All stand out as a bit of a bargain considering the quality and experience being gained. views?

I can see the logic in having a look at those players, but personally I'm happy with what MM has signed and what he is currently looking at.

I agree, we have made a couple of decent signings but these players seem to be value for money. I suppose MM has one eye on the future as well.

Remy certainly had a good game to goal ratio, Taarabt however does tend to throw the toys out the pram on a regular basis.

Personally IMO Malkey is building a team for next season and for future seasons. :malky:

I always quite liked Franco Di Santo. Available on a free and could be a decent squad player IMO.

Both good players but not really bargains, on loan with huge price to pay just to have them for 1 season. Not worth it.

Is Taabrat better than Kim, I'm unsure, in fact I'd say no. Before considering the wages.

Remy I like but Arry said he want a 2m loan fee.

On those terms I'd say no.

Because they are sent on loan doesn't mean they are bargains.

Newcastle are getting mugged off in that deal.

2 million loan with a view to buy him next season for 6 million.

That's rumours for you tho. Then consider the wages we would have to cover.
Malky would know.

Depending on wages of course but i reckon hes worth 8 million if someone signed him permnantly but with a rape case hanging over him glad we stayed away

Yeah but 2m for any loan seems excessive to me unless exceptional.

2 million for a loan for a season is a waste.

If I was Newcastle I would of just threw all the cards on the table.

QPR have just squeezed 2 million of out of them easily.

He is a brilliant striker, no denying that but the price tag is OTT.

Scott Sinclair on a loan or Steward Downing for 5 million would be good deals as well.

Looks like Sinclair is going to West Brom and Downing to Newcastle.
