OT - Removing Abrasive Marks From Car Paintwork

Tue Aug 06, 2013 1:04 pm

You guys know everything so why waste a time registering for a Car Forum.

I know cutting, waxing and polishing can remove scratches but will they also remove abrasive marks that actual seem to have changed the colour of the paint?

I don't want to polish it if its just going to make it more obvious due to the different colour.

Any help will be appreciated otherwise it gets sold as seen. :D

T-Cut is probably your best bet. Hard work though Lol, works better with proper buffer pads

Cheers mate, will give it a go then. Didn't want to spend for no benefit. Just cuts into the sale money. :ayatollah:

It will need wet sanding back with p2000 grit then machine polished back up.
T cut is a strong abbrasive so you could possibly go through the clearcote and change the colour.

Thanks for the advice.

Sounds like a job for a professional, perhaps I'll just par-ex instead of having everyone coming to look and moaning. :D

What was the marks caused from and are they deep? I ask because I'm using my phone so can't really advise the best route to take.
If it's mettalic paint you could have just damaged the clearcote so should polish out with a bit of careful machine work.
