New edition Forrest Hills in JD sports

Tue Aug 06, 2013 10:52 am

Don't bother, really ugly with a cheap fake leather material replacing the suple kangeroo leather of 2002 re editions. Also think that the canvas tongues were ommitted. Dogs dinner of a rebrand.

Not for me, my lairy trainer days are over. I had a pair of re-issues in 02, didnt like em, sold them. Best originals around that time was the Manchesters. Sold them about 4 years ago for stupid money, they were wrecked but some collecting twerp still paid me 3 figures for them. :laughing6:

I agree, they became too mainstream again, i only buy bargains now for my collection. Those forest hills were really good leather, light weight and quite accurate to the original design. I still have two pairs of manchesters bought from London the day they came out, one box-fresh, the others are part worn (5 times) Are they still going for that sort of money? Somebody once told me it's the japanese buying them on ebay? Lol
