' This bluebirds unite march against Man City '

Tue Aug 06, 2013 7:45 am

It's all over Facebook at the moment with many different Facebook groups advertising it .

This march is starting to worry me , if tan sees Cardiff city ( his buisness ) live on tv in our first ever premier league home game which is being beamed around the world , being overshadowed in the buildup by a protest march against him , I've got a bad feeling he may well push him to far . This march could make bigger problems than people realise . He has allready hinted IMO during a recent interview that if he is not appreciated or wanted he will go , this march will prove the tipping point IMO and he will see it as an insult to all the hard work he has put into the club .
Now I'm no rebrand fan at all but you have to be fair the guy has pretty much done everything he said he would so far .

Langstone paid off
Stadium capacity increase
New training ground
Big name players
Premier league football
Steady finances at the club and debt free

Now I'm a pro blue and would rather be in blue but , this march needs serious consideration before it is held on this day .
What other owner will come in and buy tan out ?
I'm pretty sure the price will be over 100mill now after all he's put into the club
Will new owners have the same vision and want to increase the stadium further or complete a new training ground ?
Will they spend big money on players or just reap the benefits of the prem for a season or two then f**k off ?

Personally I think it's better the devil we know with tan who is undoubtably the most successful owner we have ever had than some other guy who could cripple the club in the long run and put us back where we were a few years ago !

Bluebirds unite should be concentrating on getting tan to listen or talk and getting people to wear blue at games not marches on probably one of the biggest days in the clubs history .

This march is a BAD idea and will have a detrimental effect on the season IMO .

The OP would have a point if 1000's sign up to this march. But the reality is BU is a bubble organisation of a few hundred at most and not all of them will turn up on the day.

There is no appetite for a confrontation with VT and the few who do march will be an object of ridicule and frankly quite rightly so.

I'm sick to death of hearing spoilt individuals crying their eyes out because the majority won't follow their bloody minded lead and cause untold damage to CCFC. It's time for them to understand that whatever their feelings are about 'lost' identity  the vast majority of fans don't hold the same view and they can't bully or cry their eyes out to get their own stupid idiotic MINORITY way.

Well Tan shoudln't have done the change in the first place so he has only himself to blame is any bad press comes from this. Whether you like it or not a march is a demoractic right and good luck to everyone who attends. :ayatollah:

The march is a celebration of of our colours and traditions. It has nothing to do with pushing Tan out. And besides, if Tan leaves he has quoted as saying that he would leave the club in good hands. He would never up and leave, he's put to much money into the club and would lose hell of a lot. Think it's you that makes a big meal out of nothing. If your blue, join the march and celebrate what's rightly our clubs colours.

Everyone has a right to say how they feel, that is how our Country is and that should be respected by everyone.

Tan would not leave if thousands marched, he is here to make money and will leave when he is ready.

It's not a demonstration, they have called it a celebration day.
And no I won't be going on their celebration day.
That does not mean I don't agree with Bluebirds Unite, they stand for a lot of things I believe in.

The best way to show your BLUE in my opinion is to wear BLUE at every game you attend home or away, but still cheer the team on.

Hundreds? That is still a very small minority as thousands would stand by VT. None of us like playing in red, but there was a deal that we rebranded and in exchange VT would invest £100m into CCFC and make the club debt free.

So basically you are saying we should take the cash and then dump all over VT and insist on having the blue back now. People like that are dishonourable and are frankly spoilt bastards who don't like not getting their own way.

Grow up become an adult and understand that life operates on honouring deals and contracts. I for one have NO intention on going back on the deal struck with VT although I will wait patiently for an honourable solution in the future where a possible mutually acceptable time will emerge for a return to blue.

Annis whichever way this is perceived surely you more than anyone understands that a deal is a deal. We can't be seen as taking VT's money and then dumping all over him by marching (it is a demonstration and it will definitely be perceived as such) to CCS demanding blue back now.

Not only that but these people DON'T speak for the vast majority, instead they speak for a very small minority and are acting in a hugely selfish way.

I agree with wearing blue and I have always done so and will continue to do so. But I will NEVER support anything which could even remotely damage CCFC. The club is bigger than all of us and we should remember that.

Slightly hypocritical isn't it? When VT said we either play in red or you don't get the investment.

Re: ' This bluebirds unite march against Man City '

Don't worry about it, freedom of speech and all that. The idea IS to get noticed. We have a right to peacefully celebrate our rightful colour.

Everyone knows what we are fighting for and we are aware of the consequences should Tan want to leave. We have to be happy with all consequences.

Tan has only once mentioned this countries right to free speech and it obviously doesn't sit right with him. He is used to the very submissive reaction of his employees and customers in Malaysia.

Re: ' This bluebirds unite march against Man City '

Tue Aug 06, 2013 8:36 am

But Tan wasn't it suggested by some prominent supporters that we take the money then demand the colours back..? Surely the people are just following that advice ;)

Tony, they are not damaging our club, they are keeping the BLUE alive. You will always get pockets who can sometimes get out of control. Sian is trying her best to keep everyone well behaved and has warned people no abuse.
You have said its a democratic world.
I don't agree with fans wearing the red and I am stunned and hurt that they do, but that's what they want to do.
Tan will do what he wants anyway.

Everyone does things in their own way, for now I prefer to just continue to wear my BLUE with pride,

Absolute nonsense. If you really cared you would support the fact this club is going to be debt free, is in the Premiership, will have a 21st century training facility, a 40k stadium and a secure future.

How does a handful (that is what 500 is out of our 23k average home attendance) marching against all of that show how you care? No sorry you are a spoilt brat who doesn't like compromise and likes perceiving himself as some kind of football Che Guevara.

News for you your not instead you are a football version of Arthur Scargill leading your followers into total destruction because your logic doesn't extend beyond being bloody minded.

I think you have got the definition of hypocritical wrong there :? Yes VT put an offer on the table £100m investment for a rebrand. We accepted that offer now we have to see our end of the bargain through
