Cardiff City target Joe Ledley insists he's set to snub his former club's advances to stay at Celtic where he's enjoying the best days of his life.

But as manager Neil Lennon refuses to sit down and discuss a new deal, the midfielder admits he doesn't want to get embroiled in another high profile contract row.

While issuing a strong come and get me plea to his current employers, the 26-year-old who infamously left his hometown club after running his contract down in 2010, remains adamant he wants to sign now.

The father of one, who has regularly reiterated he was right to leave the Championship for the lure of the Champions League, claims: “I was exactly the same at Cardiff and I dealt with it well.

"Hopefully, we can sort something out in the next couple of weeks.”

Even though his beloved Bluebirds, where he emerged as a starlet through the academy, are now in the Premier League and are reportedly tracking his contract situation, the Wales international feels at home with his young family in Glasgow.
