FC BLUEBIRDS

Sun Aug 04, 2013 11:34 am

Their representative who posted on this forum has been pretty quiet since our promotion, funny that.

Last we heard their 'legal advisors' ( ) said they had a good case against the FAW and would be going to court in order force the FAW to allow them to play in the English pyramid.

The "formation" of this so called club was the ultimate display of fans throwing their toys out of the pram. The fact that since our promotion nothing seems to have happened speaks volumes.

Unfortunately the rebrand had driven fans away to wanting to form their own real Cardiff City. It's a shame Tan has made some of our fans feel this way and it's a shame this thread has been created to have a good laugh at them. Success at any cost as the red Malaysian dragons it is then!

Last time I looked we were called Cardiff City and are still known as the Bluebirds, perhaps I missed something.

I don't see this thread being about Tan driving fans out, it's about how those he drove out failed in their plans for a separate club and their belief that they had more of a following.

I agree that it has a provocative tone, but it seems the norm today. On both sides.

If it wasn't for fans like me opposing the rebrand, we wouldn't even have a Bluebird on our badge now! We all know the original design of the badge didn't have a Bluebird on there and with no Bluebird, we would now be referred to as the dragons!

I think you will find it wasn't just down to you concerning the Bluebird. There was a bigger push from fans because they WANTED a Bluebird. There was not a bigger push for FC Bluebirds because fans DID NOT WANT to support a different team.

I know it wasn't just down to me, that's why I said "fans like me opposing the rebrand". I agree with what you say mind, not many fans wanted to be driven to support a different team but unfortunately, Tan made a minority of fans want to set up and support FC Bluebirds. I wonder if FC Bluebirds would have probably gained more support if the Bluebird was removed from our badge altogether?

Unless you were one of those present in the meeting with Alan Whiteley, you had no say at all, there were around twelve there and unless I'm mistaken you weren't one of them?

Bullshit, if there wasn't so much uproar from the fans when the rebrand initially took place, there would be no Bluebird. There is no doubt the fans reaction would have been brought up at that meeting to influence the Bluebird being kept on the badge.

So are you now claiming that the club listens to its fans? :?

Exactly that. And had fans fought for the club more, we'd have got an even better deal out of the rebrand.

Instead of mature debate, we got Gwyn jumping up and down on TV, and ended up with a football club no one recognises.
