If Capoue Doesn't Sign, Who Then?

Athletico Madrid will be getting a lot of money from the possible sale of Diego Costa to Liverpool(21-22 million), and in my opinion some of this will go towards the signing of Capoue. If he chooses them, another club or just doesnt fancy the proposition of joining us, who is on Malky CM list next?

I wouldnt be suprised to see us go and "lower our standards" so to speak and go for someone like Liam Bridcutt. He'd be a lot cheaper but would surely fancy a crack and premiership football.

Anyone have any ideas of centre midfielders who they would like to see here or who Malky could possibly be interested in if we miss out on Capoue? :ayatollah:

This is a long shot and I know prob unrealistic but it looks like Gareth Barry is available......

Not a bad shout, but surely on about 65k a week? Thats a lot for an average, 32 year midfielder :shock:

Liam Bridcutt from Brighton. Outstanding in the championship last year. Would surely be cheaper as well.

Worth that,can't see him getting much game time now they've signed Paulinho,plus they have Sandro coming back. Parker will leave IMO.

Would be an excellent signing for that price. I'd take him over Huddlestone.

althetico madrid are in alot of debt and most of that 20m would go to it and malky also said because he missed out on wanyama hes not gonna let capoue go easy so means hes gonna atleast put like 18m into him if needs be. If we were to miss out on him im sure malky would find a gem in someone so i wouldn't worry!! :malky:

His passing is sublime and he gets stuck in. Big lad too.

Weren't spurs willing to let him go for 5 Mill? Bargain at that price!

Much better prospect than Parker or Barry who are both has beens in my opinion.

Bridcutt is one that I would like to see but only as a last resort as I think we need some top level experience in this area of the park.
