Sorry, I don't get the love in with Pompey, not looking for a row, but a lot of ours slate swansea for the admins, but love the pompey thing. They are now improving Fratton and have signed quite a few players, where is the money coming from?

The ground also holds the record for Division Four (now League Two in the English football pyramid) attendance, when Crystal Palace played local rivals Millwall F.C. in 1961 after 37,774 people turned out.

Although I wouldn't want to ever go back to the dungeon league, this season it is a fascinating league. Portsmouth are the obvious stand out team but L2 also has Newport Co, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham, Plymouth and Exeter.

It is only missing Bristol C (next season hopefully) and Swansea (by the end of the decade ) and you would have the ultimate super league for minor teams in Wales and the West.

If I remember rightly something similar happened around 1986? but in the old 3rd Division.

My cousin plays for them and he can't wait to get the season underway!
