A forum for all things Cardiff City

After reading into the Joe Kinnear saga in a bit more depth today, different managers like one side of management better than others. Some love the all round job like Redknap, but others, such as Roberto Mancini, prefer to arrange transfers and run the club a little more. Managers, like Steve Clarke, only really want to deal with the players and training/match preparations.
This is a circumstance where I feel a director of football could be beneficial.
The way Malky seems in interviews he likes to distance himself from his 'Recruitment Department,' he has always seemed a bit bewildered by transfer activity.
If he could employ someone he trusts and give them his strict (yet successful) policies/guidelines, it would allow Malky to focus on the squad a lot more, which seems what he'd rather be doing.
There always have been problems with DFs, but that's mostly when they are employed by the hierarchy, if Malky were given the job of finding one, I believe it might work well.
Do you think it would benefit Malky or the club?

Too much bold.
But no, Malky has done well his own way, he has his own staff, doesn't need any DOF

Malky has brought in a recruitment team that he trusts and who seem to generallay sign very good players. They also seem to pay a lot of attention to detail. There is no need to replace this recruitment team with a director of football in my opinion.
