A forum for all things Cardiff City

As Cardiff City fans we are most definitely the championship experts having spent the longest amount of time in the division over the past decade. I will still be keeping an eye on the division just like I have the other leagues.
Who are you backing to get promoted and relegated this year? For me I can't see past Reading, Bolton, Forest and I think Birmingham have made some great signings to cover those they lost, perhaps Jeff can fill us in on his expectations of the season coming, they would be my dark horses. QPR will be strong but I think the horse has bolted for Leicester and Watford who I fancy to have a very average season.
To go down, I think Donny and Yeovil will really struggle but I fancy Bournemouth to stay up with Howe in charge. A good bet is Burnley who without Austin really aren't up to much.
I'll be placing my ante-post bets in the next coming days for all three divisions.

Forest are sure to go up, put together a great squad - Billy Davies is a similar manager to Malky.

Agreed, heard him on the radio not long ago. He seems a very focused man, it's a massive club would love to see them back in the premier league.
As for Watford and Wigan. I think Watford are in for a dissapointing year and I really don't rate Owen Coyle as a manager. Think both will be on the cusp of the play offs.

Forest and a surprise team to go up automatic.
I would like to see Yeovil have a strong staying up finish.

Strangely enough have been thinking the same myself old one as it is that time of year for the annual bet on promotion from the leagues, didn't appreciate it was so close. Have barely done any research for the Championship let alone the other divisions and leagues but did notice that Watford have signed quite a few of the loan players from last season so don't think you can right them off totally. Agree with Forest largely due to the manager and they now have a few quid, Reading have been there seen it done it a few times so know what it takes, again new owners so will be in the mix, Bolton, not too sure about, Birmingham no and don't ignore Wigan, they seem to have kept most of the squad together. QPR, another potentially strong side but still too many prima donnas who may not like life in the Championship. One thing for sure I'm glad we got promoted as it's going to be a really tough one this season.

Reading, will do it properly with Adkins in charge.
Bolton, finished well under Freedman can see them 2nd.
Forest, Just missed out last term, think they can do it now.
Barnsley, somehow survive each season but think there stay in the champ will be over.
Hudds, struggled last season will again.
Yeovil, really hope they stay up, but they are huge underdogs. But sure they will enjoy the 2nd tier
