Just refused a new deal with Sunderland. Has a year left on his contract so we could get him on the cheap, di Canio wont play him now. He can play as a left back and in midfield meaning our left back problem is solved and we have reinforcements in midfield. His premier league experience could be vital, played over 80 premier league matches. And he's only 23. Fits the Malky mould. Think he would be a huge signing.

not sure id go for "huge", but a good signing if we can get him for just a few million i think. Are we actually linked to him?

We were a couple of weeks ago but I think any talk of him joining was drowned out by the Ince saga. I only said huge because of his prem experience, huge probably was a bit of an overstatement haha.

I would certainly take him along with McCarthy from Wigan.

Yeah, I'm sure if McCarthy goes to anyone it'll be Everton. It's the same with McManaman, they're too good for the championship but Wigan will want to hold onto them to ensure they go back up this season. Plus they get European football with Wigan, something they won't get at Everton or with us.

Probably on Malkys B List. So could be an option if A list doesn't go to plan. Already lost Wanyama and Ince from that list.

He's average Sunderland struggled last year and he couldn't make team most games I don't think he's better than we got to be honest

played in just about every game for sunderland last year, de canio wants him to sign a new contract, would be a really good signing, better than ledley and can cover the whole left side of pitch.

Jack Colback linked with us for 3 million around there? That is a deal we should go for.
MM will take interest in him refusing new contract. Go get him.
