Malky on talksport

Now!!

Re: Malky on talksport

What did he say.

Re: Malky on talksport

Wed Jul 31, 2013 7:30 am

That is the least confident I have heard him. (talking about bringing players in)
He said he wants new players in EVERY department!

Re: Malky on talksport

Wed Jul 31, 2013 7:32 am

He basically said nothing

From his comments attracting players across the bridge is proving difficult

Re: Malky on talksport

Wed Jul 31, 2013 7:33 am

To be fair, he said he doesn't want to bring in players for the sake of it to make up numbers because he already has good players from last year, he wants to make sure he brings in better players, quality not quantity

sounds nervous,he hopes the club give him time like everton did with moyes, and finished with whatever happens to me the club will push on..

I think the knives are out for him at the club.. also he virtually denied any move for caulkner

:happy1:

don't worry about me, poor malky is the one you should be concerned about, the pressure is building, I don't think uncle Vinnie or the new hatchet man hes just made chairman will be looking very favourably at things right now

Love how all these jacks come and jump on any thread, this forum
Would be a lot better without them IMO! I personally have never been on theirs and see no reason ever to go there, just curious, do many city fans go on to their forum?

Gowerjack is one of the worst trolls on here along with nj73 and lj1985. The likes of 6bysedd, waddle, 64jack and reeco are fine as they are long standing fans who have been there during the barren years. The likes of gowerjack wouldn't even know what the vetch field was. Reckon the mods need to cull a few of the jacks.

He was fine. Not nervous at all. Alan Brazil has been talking about recent comments about the premier league hindering the England national sides all morning. When Malky came on Alan Brazil said how hard it was to bring youngsters through because chairman want instant success . Malky agreed and said it would be nice for every manager to have the time like Moyes at Everton and Wenger at Arsenal but football is now about instant results.

He then went to say it would be easy for him to buy £1 million players in just to make up the numbers but he doesn't want to do that. He wants quality and it's hard to sell a newly promoted club to these quality players. Phil Brown agreed and said it was same when he was at Hull.

Yea I agree that 'some' of them talk sense and are decent posters and have a sensible debate, but there are some who are right kents who 'score' each club against each other, but in fairness we have these deluded posters ourselves! Really sad and pathetic if you ask me? All well and good a bit of banter, but........ Scoring teams off against each other before a ball is kicked is beyond me!

Yeah course you will. Nearly 400 posts in 2 weeks, every one of them anti-cardiff. No prizes for guessing who you are. :sleepy2:

he is right its is hard, we've hardly been a stable club in last 25 years have we? Clubs like swansea have recruited lots of foreign players who are more than happy to earn 25-30k a week using a high profile manager. We might be aiming a bit high but we'll see how it pans out.....

The jacks just dont get it do they. This is a cardiff messageboard and they cant stay away. It was quiet for a day or two after the langston agreement. If we do manage to sign caulker moreno capoue etc.. they will disappear again. Obsessed is a strong word but probably not quite strong enough for them. Some of them must set the alarm early especially to post on here. Sad sad lives they lead while their sat in the library waiting for the needle exchange to open

Re: Malky on talksport

I think it's true what he said - the reality is that it's harder to get people to come to Cardiff than it is to London. Even bigger teams up north sometimes have that problem. I like his approach of concentrating on getting only quality players in... No point in taking a QPR approach and buying everybody you can find and then being stuffed if you go down.

I watched a fair Premier League games last year and Cardiff's existing team in the Championship on their day were better than Fulham, Reading, Stoke, QPR... Of course every team is strengthening now with the new TV funds and we have to keep up with them but you can only put 11 players on the pitch at one time and I would imagine 6/7 will be largely the same as last year.

The interview was a little boring though... I wonder why he went on there today to be honest... Perhaps they did expect to have 1 or 2 new signings completed by now and he expected to be talking about them.
