Like it or lump it, that ain't good enough, full stop.
2 - 0 up and lost, shake your self Malky, you already have the squad to not let that happen despite any changes you made, friendly or not.
Anyone remember Weymouth ?

Struggling to keep up as in Spain at present, was it Lewis in goal ? I work with a Posh fan who doesn't rate him one bit.
Regardless, Lewis or not a club destined to take on Man it'd, Liverpool, etc, can not throw away a game like this. Friendly or not.

Lewis in goal for the WHOLE game, apparently at one point got tackled and had to tackle to stop a certain goal. He's well and truly dreadful, Moore didn't play due to injury.

I take your poin but don't agree, as I said we were 2-0 up and lost, that should not happen friendly or not as MM has the talent to not let that happen. Do me a favour though do try and reply a bit more constructively without sounding so aggressive.

agree . its a team we should beat. with our b team. not our A team. besides lewis

What do you expect this season?, You, Palace and Hull are favorites for relegation this season, face facts and man up.

I said this on another thread , But these players should be playing to catch Malkys eyes so he will pick them for the first game.
There for as a Pro you only want to be on the winning side , and play your best, if this is our best god help us.
and please please dont give me shit about we are still getting fit, we have been training for weeks now and even getting Match fit ? well surly our players can play a full 35/40 mins ? after that Malky changes them anyway , so if you tell me there not up to playing for 35 to 45 mins then god help us .
No defender wants to get beat, that is built in to any Pro player ,that's why they are Pros .We should be able to keep a lead once we got it by keeping a clean sheet ok maybe the odd goal , no sorry Malky you need to get your defenders to keep a few clean sheets or when we hit the big boys ,we are going to let in cricket scores

Yeah I recognise its a pre season and all the arguments about fitness and trying formations, tactics etc.
Yet my concern is that you can't be poor pre season then suddenly flick a switch and start playing really well in the league. We've been to an intense training camp and played a couple of games before tonight. Plus players don't come back after a break in bad shape. I don't buy the fitness excuse.
As for trying formations and/or tactics, there may be something in it but tonight we seem to field an experienced side with an established back 4. I doubt MM went wild with his tactics either. Surely the focus should be on creating a bedrock of a defence and keeping clean sheets? Then build on that as the pre season games come.
It's not like we've played anyone of note either and should the fact they may be a couple of weeks ahead of us in preparation really matter that much? We've conceded early goals in other matches so its not like we've run out of steam.
Yes we will hopefully be signing new players but they wont be here in time for MM to mould his ideal 11 and give them game time to get used to each other. I'm not panicking yet am concerned. Very concerned.
Still this is Cardiff City so I never thought we would have a smooth ride

I agree there is no need to panic, but i am beginning to suspect that Mackay is now realising that his current squad of players are not good enough to keep us in the Premiership,it also looks to me,although i cant prove it,he wasted a lot of valuable time in waiting for young Ince to make his mind up without having other irons in the fire

Fair play, you crack me up. I dont know whether its the fact i know you're fishing or the way you type out your posts that make read it in a certain way. Bloody hilarious though.

I refuse to panic - yes it would be nice to win all the friendlies but what would it actually mean. These games are for us to try different players and also allow the team to gel again after the summer break.
I am sure that MM will identify the shortcomings, as they are, and get the players in for the start of what really matters - 2013 - 14 EPL

I dont get why he continues to go for top 6 quality players and keeps getting knocked back, we are not going to get them so stop wasting time.

This sums it up for me. Yes, it's all about experimenting and building match fitness. But, as above - that defence is more or less what we'll be going with (and what we had last season) and it concerns me a bit that they've taken a bit of a pasting by a couple of lower league sides now.
And no, it won't suddenly improve come August 17th...

We lost to Forest Green last year & won the league.

And now we are playing at a much higher standard so I would have hoped we showed signs of stepping up.

It's pre season. I remember us beating Bolton in a pre season friendly as a Lower league club & they were in the prem.. It happens.

I appreciate that but what concerns me is the goals we are conceding. Surely we shouldn't be shipping 3 against the likes of FG and brentford, especially with a senior squad on show. The two home games are going to be interesting and I hope we start to look the part. We need at least 1 CB to come in IMO
