Kit compromise

Tue Jul 30, 2013 5:03 pm

I think most will agree that the newly announced blue kit looks very nice.

People and organisations such as BU are campaigning for a return to blue at home but that is unrealistic with Mr Tan in charge.

Why not appeal to the club for blue to be the primary alternative kit for next season?

I expect alot of people who are staunchly against the rebrand to be up in arms at this sell out suggestion, but in my opinion it would keep the wearing of blue alive in our first season in the EPL.

Be realistic and make a compromise, thats my suggestion.

Agree Gav. It sounds the best compromise all round. Tan will not budge on red at home, but might agree to the blue being our main away strip.

To be honest we know the kit isnt going to change for this season anyway so I agree its best to play in the blue away as much as possible for now

I don't even think the blue shirt will be used.

The kits mix and match and both have red trim on the shorts. I think the blue shorts will be put with the yellow top to avoid the change kit rule of a maximum of 8 games.

Theres no rules stating that a kit has to be worn even once.

At all 19 home games we will wear red. I think most accept that.

Against most away teams when we get the chance we will wear red.

Arsenal - yellow
Villa - yellow
Chelsea - red
Palace - yellow
Everton - red
Fulham - red
Hull City - yellow
Liverpool - yellow
Man City - yellow
Man Utd - yellow
Newcastle - red
Norwich - red
Southampton - yellow/blue shorts
Stoke City - yellow/blue shorts
Sunderland - yellow/blue shorts
Swansea - red
Spurs - red
WBA - red
WHU - yellow/blue shorts

All of that is perfectly fine

Red - 27 games
Yellow - 7 games
Yellow/Blue - 4 games

The alternative kit choices don't exceed the maximum of 8 rule either. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It's a no from me. Their aim is to have blue as our primary kit. Nothing else.
