Being the Premier League "New Boy"

Its been well publicisied about the massive increase in TV money this year and we all thought what a great year to get promoted. I would think that it could well be a hinderance. Lets face it within the Premier league there are three leagues within a league. The Top 6 clubs who are challenging for Europe, the mid-table group of established clubs who are neither likely to go down or indeed not going to challenge the top 6, then there is the bottom 6 clubs of which we are now catogorised in.

The enlarged TV money will have the effect of widening the gap even further between Championship and Premier League, The clubs comming up are finding it very difficult to bring in quality players to ensure that they are not in the bottom three come May. Any club with ambition to climb from one "section" to the next has to take a steady one step at a time approach, Norwich are a good example of this where in their third season they are being tipped to get into mid-table and are recruiting players that are likely to enable them to achieve this. It hurts to say but the Jacks have done remarkibly well. and have jumped intio the mid-table group with ease.

Malky has a bigger problem than many people think, he is trying to spend money to go straight into the mid-table group, and struggling to achieve that goal. The question I have are we heading for a "QPR" or a "Norwich"
