Having gone to the match at Barry on Saturday - I have to say, Rudys performance was woeful!!!

He could have had a hat-trick, and I'm worried by Malkys comments in the paper today saying he's a big part of his plans this season......

Is it me, or does everyone else agree that the lad is just not good enough and we really do need a 4th striker whos a back up for Cornelius (Big Presence up top)????

Also, Velikonja scored Again - he cant do much more than score against the opposition he's given, this situation really puzzles me and judging the lad on 74 minutes of 1st team football last season seems harsh.....

He's useless, simple as that.

Rudy had some important performances for us last season, but i agree that hes probably not good enough this season. I imagine his appearances will be on a 15-20 minute impact basis at the moment.

He's not good enough in my eyes, championship player at best.

I really do think we need another target man, someone with PL or high level experience.

I'm not saying he will be fantastic at PL level or even a PL player but to say he is 'useless' is ridiculous. Scored some vital goals and gave us vital physical presence up front last season.

5 goals in 23 games last season, most of which were from the bench, clearly not useless and clearly offers something at Championship level. Being such a part of a title winning side means he is proven in my eyes.

I see your point. Another example is Danny Welbeck, scored a decent amount in 11/12 but only one in 12/13, still a proven Premier League striker.

I think I would go for (in no particular order) Rhodes, Austin, Vydra, Deeney, Frazier, Murray, Nugent, Phillips, Barnes and Craig Davies.

Gestede is a tryer and I like that. He also has a real rapport with fans.

Totally agreed, a loan spell this season with a Champ side and regular games would do him a world of good. I think if he played 40+ games for a Championship side next season he would get 10-15 goals and a sackload of assists.

He was shocked by the quality of rudy.
He had his hands on his face after rudy involvement -
Totally bemused by him.
