Thomas Cook travel agents in Blackwood are selling package tickets for all Ciity Away games Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd etc from £149 per person

But I suppose if it gets some football fans tickets they will pay it, yet they wouldn't go to Burnley etc away last season for less than quarter of the price.

Re: " Companies making money out of Cardiff City Fans BUT

What's hard to understand about how people want to go to the bigger games nowadays? Unfortunately it is about the opposition today, I went to Burnley but I want to go to the bigger games, this season I will avoid the smaller teams as I want to go to the bigger teams games.

Some people aren't as well off as other City fans and can't make games. So they make the most lucrative game.

I've seen a few companies doing this.

All the top games are advertised but can't find anything for the likes of Fulham, Hull or Palace.

What I don't get is why so many people want to go to the top games knowing its very likely we'll lose. Play it safe, go to a Cardiff City vs Hull City game and go home with a smile on your face.

There is just too much bitterness nowadays. I really hope when the season kicks off I can forget it but I'm beginning to doubt it !
Carl was recently an attempted victim (as usual) but he came out of it looking rather good (as a CCFC fan and a bloody good parent). Now Annis is being targeted ! Jeez people , leave it behind !
I am not sticking up for either of the above mentioned , I don't know either , but I really hope the forthcoming season is not like this.
This guy did this , that guy did the other , some guy made a quid , billy the badge sold a pennant , Sam did that , VT wore red , awwwwwwwwwwwwwww please

I know things are difficult but please can we lay off being personal , a season is starting soon !!!

The simple truth is annis we are not attractive to the big clubs and they will be struggling to sell their home tickets for our game hence the availability.
Wonder how they stand legally mind selling away fans tickets in home ends

Most people me including me want to see us play away at Man U, Man City, Everton etc, but realistically they are the games we are statistically most likely to lose. The team will need us to sell full alocations and give maximum support at the likes of Fulham, Stoke, West Brom, Norwich etc. It will be interesting to see how many fans we do take away to the smaller less fashionable club, at grounds we have already visited.....

They've been doing it for years Annis and will continue to do so. What is frustrating is the fact that people indeed will pay the cost of 2-3 regular away days for one match where they will be sat in more than likely the away end. Ok I myself want to go to the big 3-4 games this year but will also go to the likes of Hull etc. Lot of people are moaning about money and prices of this years matches but will always find money for united, Liverpool etc. similar to those other 20,000 fans that like a cup final, playoff ticket when they come around. There are less games this year. That to me balances the books. Less games but more expensive is cost neutral. And if you are lucky enough (like myself), you will be cheering on every home game from the ninian stand for £330!

They are not going to watch Cardiff, they using this help to sell the tickets against Utd, Liverpool etc. Last years I seen it sold as Jacks against Utd etc.. Also knew people who not football fan take their kids to Utd or Liverpool game.

annis,

we have had a brand called thomas cook sport which has been selling premier league packages for years...

they are for home fans only and if deemed to be supporting the opposition you will be evicted..

we have different packages for the premier league teams and contract partnership for x number of tickets, same as the grand prixs, 6 nations, ryder cup etc..

for example, our man utd packages which start at £139 is for , ticket in the main stand, over night hotel b&b, stadium tour, match programme and a discount voucher for the club shop.

we do the same with Man city.. Liverpool packages sell really quickly, dont include the stadium tour however the have the option of adding the reds bar facility..

these packages are not for cardiff fans...

we have a lot of repeat business in blackwood with alot of the local football clubs and families as well as a few local businesses who use these packages for other clubs, such as chelsea, arsenal and spurs...

we do not sell home packages for cardiff city or swansea city...

we couldnt get a deal with cardiff city to sell home packages, as we are not a ticket agent we cannot sell tickets only and as most cardiff fans are local, be pointless to add a hotel package.. so we got a deal with the wru for the autumn internationals and 6 nations.

a few years ago we almost became a sponsor for the shirt at cardiff city but it didnt materialise. both cardiff and mk dons approached us but at the time as therre were head office redundancies it wouldnt have been appropriate.

we have given quite a bit of money to cardiff over the last few years with the holiday clubs that we used to run as well match, ball and programme sponsors and having two hospitality tables...

Cheers

I have friends with me now from Blackwood now and these tickets are available to Cardiff fans. In the window, every game displayed are Cardiff away games.
I agree this has been going on for years in every City, but now Cardiff are in the Prem, the window is now covered in Cardiff away games at rip off prices.

we only have 2 cardiff games in the window.

liverpool v cardiff 21 dec and the man city v cardiff game is in the window as its £89 quid for ticket, hotel, programme and stadium tour of the ethiad..

when swansea went up we sold liverpool v swansea and the last game of the season at old trafford for man utd v swansea..

we also have spurs v arsenal in the window, chelsea v spurs, and the utd v liverpool game.. we could advertise, spurs v cardiff, chelsea v cardiff, arsenal v cardiff, newcastle v cardiff but theres no interest from the home support in these fixtures...

the liverpool cardiff game is popular for obvious reasons to the welsh based liverpool fans.... and the man city v cardiff game is in the window of pretty much all thomas cook shops that put sport in the window purely because its our lead in price for a match break...
