Wouldn't excite me but at 3m he offers good cover across midfield and LB

Would be a good addition but after the way Celtic dealt with us regarding Wanyama I'd take it all the way to the end and then pass them a note across the table saying 'you must be bloody kidding. Enjoy your trip to Inverness you bastards' and casually walk out of the room like a boss.

Doubt he will move back.
He actually really enjoys out there and doubt Lennon will be keen to let anyone go now.

Daily Mirror are a bunch of bull shitters. Daily Mail have been spot on with our transfers this season.
Ledley is a 'marquee' capture for the Bluebirds because of his links with the club and Cardiff will offer him a big rise to come to them.
A marquee signing to us, is this article actually taking the piss? He has no market pull to him, Bellamy is someone who can be classed as a marquee, he's idolised here, Ledley is an average CM, I'd take him but he's not even in the same league as Bellamy

£3mil for a player who walked away from the club in a manner to ensure Cardiff got nothing seems steep.
But hes a decent enough player, more upper Championship than lower Premiership. Maybe cover I suppose.
Earnshaw, Bellamy, Koumas, Chopra, nearly Gabidon,
does anyone ever stay gone?

Be great to have two local lads in the team. I'm sure Joe would do a great job for us, maybe as a DM?

Lets be honest this would not be an ambitious or attractive signing...
However he works hard, will want to do well, has gained a lot of experience, he is used to winning and i think this would be a great addition.
Having another local boy in the squad aswell is always good! No brainer for me bring him home
Sun Jul 28, 2013 10:11 pm
At that price go and do it Malky. Like I said the other day, a local lad, and City supporter, could well be the difference between staying up and going down. He has the passion and drive that helps people stay up.
Plus, if worst comes to worst and we go down, he'll be great to have in the Championship
Sun Jul 28, 2013 10:15 pm
He urged Wanyama not to join us so what makes anyone think he'll join us himself
Sun Jul 28, 2013 10:16 pm
Having a laugh!
No thanks .... short memories. Average!

Ha ha brilliant idea, and unsettle three or four others with tap ups and do the same

Newport County could be okay for Joe, though it might be to fast for him.

Or just do the Red Wedding at Celtic Park and pass a message to Neil Lennon saying 'Rangers send their regards'.
Its from Game of Thrones if anyone is wondering.

Definitely no. Very average water carrier.
As my old school teacher used to say, 'must do better'!

Celtic midfiedler Joe Ledley wants to stay at Celtic Park
There were perfectly valid footballing and financial reasons for Celtic to sell Victor Wanyama and Gary Hooper to Southampton and Norwich City respectively.
In the case of the Kenyan midfielder, the £12.5 million fee represented a 1,400 per cent profit on a player who did his best work in an area of the field where manager Neil Lennon has more strength in depth than most. As for Hooper, he had made it clear that he wished to leave and was prepared to sit out the final year on his contract, which would have meant Celtic losing him for nothing.
When it comes to Wales playmaker Joe Ledley, however, the delay in securing him on an extended agreement is much more difficult to fathom. Ledley will also become a free agent next summer and could also, should he so choose, earn himself a lucrative signing-on fee elsewhere simply by sitting tight.
The difference between Ledley and Hooper, however, is that the former is not only willing but eager to remain at Parkhead and Celtic’s last two matches have served to underline his importance to the club. His pre-season regime was hampered by injury but he came off the bench to inspire Celtic to a potentially crucial 1-0 victory over Elfsborg in the first leg of their Champions League third qualifying round on Wednesday.
Ledley followed that by being, by some distance, the most impressive performer on view as he and his team-mates launched their bid to claim a third successive championship with a curate’s egg of a performance in the 2-1 win over Ross County at Parkhead.
The range and accuracy of his passing cannot be matched by Scott Brown or Beram Kayal, the other central midfielders available to manager Neil Lennon, and it seems inconceivable that he would choose to start Wednesday’s return in Sweden without his calming presence.

Well Newport County might be the level of football you actually understand
Ledley would be a good signing for us

Not for me. Showed how much Cardiff meant to him last time around. Burnt his bridges as far as I'm concerned, never want to see him back here again
