Capoue stalling

According to twitter

He won't sign.

Re: Capoue stalling

Sun Jul 28, 2013 9:35 pm

Stick him on the back burner and go head long into the next target in that position. Lets not sit and wait like we did with Ince.

Re: Capoue stalling

Stalling? We had a bid accepted like Thursday/Friday.

Doesn't he realise that you are a Capital City and therefore get everything you want? :?

Weird. Desperate for a wind up?

Re: Capoue stalling

The account that said that also said he had refused to talk to us altogether, then realised it was wrong and said "he was now willing to negotiate". Whoever runs it has no clue. Let's wait and see what happens.

Not desperate but always happy to throw a line out there ;)

Then name me one of your transfers more high profile than Capoue in the last 2 seasons?

Re: Capoue stalling

There was no substance in the article, it's all guess work. There was no article at all or that, all it said was their own words. Nothing of anyone elses, nothing to back up the point!

Wilfried Bony - Top scorer in the Dutch league
Michu - Top scoring midfielder in La Liga
Pablo Hernandez - Spanish international and regular in the Champions league with Valencia
Michel Vorm - Dutch International

That wasn't too tricky. Oh, and they actually signed as well :laughing6:

No doubt, but I've caught one

Re: Capoue stalling

Sun Jul 28, 2013 9:53 pm

i could go on twitter now and write a load of shit about any player and people would believe it... transfer sites make up shit cos they have no sources or anything! it's some little 15 year old kid on his ipad guessing stuff and hoping he gets it right!

what i dont get is why people believe any shit they see on twitter but ignore what Malky said in an interview yesterday where we have had a bid accepted and are in talks! just wait and see until it's official

No one had heard of Michu or Vorm before they came here. Can't really comment on Hernandez as I don't know much about him. However did any of these 3 have interests from clubs like Athletic Madrid or Fiorentina, don't think they did.

Same can be said for Boney M. Its not exactly as if you are aiming high is it.

Bony is a decent signing but it seems a bit strange so many strikers are scoring goals over there, are the defenders/goalkeepers that poor?
Michu - still, no one knew him
Pablo Hernandez - fair play
Vorm - unkown xx

Re: Capoue stalling

Going after such a good player is bound to be difficult for a new club in the top flight but an indication that we are only after quality players and not just players to make the numbers up...if we get him great, if not go for another quality player

Only the ignorant had not heard of Michu or Vorm. You must also have missed Pablo scoring at Old Trafford in the Champions League?

But hey, I'm perfectly happy for you to win this strange pissing contest with a player who may not sign for you being a bigger signing that the 4 I've mentioned :laughing6:

Well that makes most of Swansea ignorant because hardly any of you had heard of Michu or Vorm.

Fluke.

Michu - Top scoring midfielder in La Liga

People felt sorry for him.

Pablo Hernandez - Spanish international and regular in the Champions league with Valencia

Didn't win the Champions League whilst there so he wasted all that time for nothing. Lack of productivity is astounding.

Michel Vorm - Dutch International

Fortunate that his mother gave birth to him on Dutch soil. Again, nothing special.

Paul

That GFF page changes their mind every hour. By the time you wake up in the morning said website would have probably told us he'd signed then changed his mind - all in the space of a night.

As for the debate on how big a signing. 9m, full international with a load of caps to his name, a midfield general courted by some of the biggest clubs in Europe. It'll do us in our first season

Maybe/maybe not but it doesn't deter from the point that they, because of their standing, were more high profile.

Exactly my point, I made the mistake of believing it then realised how clueless they were!

At first we agreed a fee to them then he said no straight away and then he said oh yes we'll hold out for him, it's absolute bull shit!

I don't think it's a marquee signing at all but it's a big signing to us as he's 25 so still has ages left in his career and could represent FRANCE at a World Cup, a World Cup which has Cardiff representatives, wow.

L'Equipe are well trusted in France and Europe, I believe them over 'Mercatra or w.e'

I reckon we might just pull this off! :ayatollah:

I'm told we're very close, but that doesn't mean a thing until the ink is drying on the contract does it. One thing I know for certain though is if we can't convince him there is another similar type DM we'll be speaking to further, so this isn't the be all and end all - although it would be a major coup and the biggest transfer in our history in my humble opinion

thanks  lets hope we hear some news soon, and lets take this as a good sign that we're trying to sign quality players! everyone was gutted when we missed out on Wanyama, MM found a player who is better than him! if this one falls through then we know malky does have a back up plan to all his plans!

If we miss out on the A and B list, the C and D list will still be the finest quality. All it takes though is to get lucky with an A lister or two, then we'll build from there

Re: Capoue stalling

If Toulouse won't budge on the asking price and we're the only club to meet it then he's going to come here. He'll have one or two seasons here to prove himself and then move on for a final bumper contract elsewhere, possibly at Newcastle or a club like that depending on how well he does here. Don't know if Arsenal or Liverpool will make a move as its a risk and one neither club can afford to take at the moment. Atletico are our biggest threat if they are prepared to match the deal and according to the press their they won't match it.

If we can't wrap this one then I will be worried.
