O/T - Canon Camera software

Was just wondering whether anyone could help with this small problem of mine. I bought the Canon Powershot SX50 HS camera about 7 months ago, but having taken quite a few photos with it and installed all the software that came with it, the 'CameraWindow' program isn't picking up the camera when I connect it to my Apple iMac via a USB cable. I've clicked on the CameraWindow icon in the Dock (which you're supposed to do) but to no avail.

Do you need the software to access the photos or can you just access the drive as you would any other piece of removable hardware?

Try removing the drivers and the software and reinstalling then mate. Is it possible to find the software from online and download a later version of it? If you can find it online then install it from there rather than from the disc.
