Jesus Gamez

Haven't seen any threads about him but seems there is interest from us for him.
The Cardiff has launched an offensive to secure the services of Jesus Gamez. The Welsh club, newly promoted to the Premier League, sent several emissaries to Malaga last week to negotiate for the right side of Fuengirola. The leaders of the British bank personally met with rectors malaguistas intended to lay the foundation for possible transfer of the player. AS has been told, the newest member of the Premier transmitted Martiricos leaders strong desire for Jesus Gamez and willingness to shell out four million euros for the right back. The Malaga, meanwhile, amounted to six million more variable the retail price of '2 'Whites.

Currently, discussions are on stand by, but sources close to the negotiations say to this newspaper that Cardiff could upload your proposal to 4.5 million euros. Bernd Schuster did not want to get rid of Jesus Gamez, but the arrival of Argentine Angeleri to Martiricos could make it less traumatic Malaga defender output.

Noticed this on Twitter a little earlier but it offered no link, so I brushed it to one side.

Gamez is a great player. I've been following Malaga for the last few years after Pellegrini was brought in, and Gamez did very well to keep his position in the squad at a time when it had a lot of money pumped into it.

Though I would say Gamez is out of our league due to interest from top European clubs (Arsenal, Athletico and Wolfsburg included), Malky is looking at this quality of player - as proven with the interest in Capoue.

It would, however, be a very odd move when considering that Gamez is most comfortable on the right-hand side of defence, along with the fact that we've just signed John Brayford.

Is there any way Gamez could play at centre back? My ideal defence would be Taylor Hudson Connolly/Moreno Brayford, Brayford played as RB today but I genuinely can't see him playing at CB.
I agree it'd be quite a bit strange considering the step down but they're banned from European competitions

As far as I know, yes, but bringing Gamez in and telling Brayford to compete with Taylor for left back would be a little odd, and I don't suppose the club would offer McNaughton a new contract if they were willing to ship him out a month later.

He's done so, but always on the right side of central defence - Hudson's position. Weligton or Demichelis were almost always available for the left side, though the latter has now moved to Athletico Madrid.

The only way I could see it working is if McNaughton was given the go-ahead to leave the club and have Brayford as Malky's second choice right-back.

Don't feel McNaughton would leave but I definitely think Brayford will be played over him, can see him being a first teamer easily
