Isn't the media just going to play this as new preier league side in turmoil? Fans against club??

Instead of a hostile home crowd behind the team will be portrayed as fans against owner??

As Leeds United fans have said regarding their potential rebrand at the hands of Red Bull, it's the modern game and the official names really mean nothing deep down as long as the fans keep the traditional name and values alive within and spread these to the youngsters so that they know the true roots of the club and the path it has been on.

Most Leeds fans are happy to see the club renamed Red Bull Leeds, play at a renamed stadium and have a sponsored Red Bull shirt if it means they can push on and compete for honours like they did before. If a club like Leeds has fans thinking this way then what hope is there really? They are one of the most historically recognised clubs in world football whether we like to admit it or not. We laugh now because for a club of their expected size they are struggling massively.

Say what you want about rebrands but sooner or later you'll fall victim to the over commercialisation of the sporting world or you'll fall. You think an owner will come in and not take liberties at a club of your size? You're no Manchester United or Liverpool and never will be. They have a world renown global brand that are figureheads not only in football but business. You're, just like us, in comparative terms to these clubs a pittance not only in footballing ability but in business and brand awareness.

If you think your white knight Huw can keep you going then you are deluded. The competition will get tougher with more clubs taking up investment opportunities and soon enough the Premier League will share many features of the NFL. People can hide under the rug and pretend it's not going to happen but it will.

How would you know unless you had a billionaire owner come in for you and make the same changes.

 sorry I couldn't keep a straight face typing that.

Anyway back to the game.

Whatever it takes mate, we'll always be blue. But we supported our team today from start to finish, we're you here? ;)

will put blue firmly on the front foot.im sure v t will like to go on sky and explain the rebrand to the whole nation

I was at home learning to spell 'where' as opposed to we're

And VT having to explain why rebrand? More likely VT leaving and us in the shite.

VT = Premier league, langstone paid, pmg paid, eggers kicked out, investment, new training ground, players and soon to be debt to equity so debt free.

Cardiff City is far more than just a bloody shirt colour.

so if vt has done the above for you what is the problem now campaining for a return to blue?if he wants to go when he does debt to equatity he will sell to another wealthy person.that person will then own the shares.no probs on that score.now is a great time to push for blue/sky,m/o/t/d every week.perhaps he can explain the rebrand to everyone out side s.wales.cos most are puzzled up to the nuts about it.vt will be shown for what he is .a bloke on a ego trip.if the blue takes off he will have some explaining to do

Respect works both ways. He shows a total lack of it every time he talks about the fans.

This is what concerns me.
The forthcoming season is going to be tough, the last thing we want is the media writing negative story's about a rift between fans and the owner week in week out. This won't help our cause. :ayatollah:

Blue shorts and socks and this matter woud have been put to bed by now.
Its called compromise. Not being offered blue shorts was just bloody minded

No it wouldn't. We are a team who should be playing in blue and white.

Red and blue is just as wrong as red and black.

CORRECT!

That chant is a bit daft and cleary totally incorrect. You should have a 'hope our third kit contains a bit of blue' chant which would be far more accurate of the current situation.

I agree the lyrics with the 3rd kit chant need a lot of work but the principle is spot on.

Not at all. Unless you are incredibly thick, which I suspect is the case, you will realise that the song tells the story that, although Tan has forced this farcical rebrand, the fans will always be blue in our minds/heart.
