Is Capoue Tom Ince mark 2?

Talented French midfielder Etienne Capoue is stalling on a £10million switch to Cardiff because he has his eye on a move to a bigger club.

The 25-year-old Toulouse midfielder has been tracked by the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal in the past.

Harry Redknapp at QPR had an offer for him rejected in January. But Toulouse are now ready to let Capoue leave and Cardiff – beaten to Celtic’s Victor Wanyama by Southampton – have pounced.

The Welsh club have agreed a fee of £8.5million with £1.6million in add-ons.

But Capoue still believes he can attract the attentions of a higher-profile outfit.

I don't think Malky will be hanging around this time - he'll want to get on and look elsewhere instead of waiting on the whims of another bloody big time Charlie...

It's an audacious bid with a small chance of success. Ince was more realistic but he had his reasons, none more powerful than family considerations. Pointless referencing everything back to Ince, players are allowed to turn moves down and clubs will always lose out to other clubs and sometimes it's for the best. Marcus Bent anyone?

Ince has two offers awaiting in Merseyside for January - old news and he wouldn't be playing every week anyway.

No ffs. He's a french international who has been tracked by elite clubs and he's not stalling at all. Just waiting to see if there will be a bid for him to evaluate his options.

Malky went to Toulouse yesterday to discuss terms with his agent, Capoue himself if I'm not mistaken. Capoue's agent is the same as Balotelli's and Ibrahimovic and in a leading French newspaper 'L'equipe' the wages seem favorable to Capoue according to his agent.

So we are closer than we think surely :ayatollah:

Isn't that the same thing as stalling though?

No. Because Malky personally travelled to Toulouse yesterday and met with Capoue and his agent and the terms seemed favorable. So.. :ayatollah:
